I have over 10 years of experience tutoring various subjects and have worked at least five years preparing students for entrance exams, ranging from SAT and ACT to GRE and ISEE. The Math section of the GRE is definitely my favorite! It is certainly challenging, but I have had success in teaching students the concepts necessary for them to ace the exam! Instead of simply teaching students how to "trick" the test, I teach the concepts that are integral to a good score and success once admitted into the intended program of study. [more]

I took the new GRE in 2015, with two weeks to prepare, and scored a 162 in verbal and 168 in quantitative. Since then, I have tutored many students using a variety of books and practice examinations. I consider myself most adept at assisting in the quantitative section, as I can break down the problems and show shortcuts, highlighting the methods used by the test makers to trick students. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology when I was 18. I went on to obtain a Master's in Biomedical science at the same university, finishing [more]

The GRE quantitative (math) test can be a challenge , especially for those who haven't had a math class in a while. The good new is that the test involves only basic Algebra and Geometry concepts. The bad news is that the questions can be very difficult and asked in an unfamiliar manner. In addition to tutoring, I've been developing and teaching GRE math classes at the University of Texas at Dallas for several years. I enjoy sharing strategies about how to choose answer choices more accurately and quickly and helping students shore up the basic math principles they might not have had to use i [more]

Lately the GRE has been one of my most popular standardized tests. The math is great (not as fun as the GMAT, but close...) I have no fear talking about the GRE. I am a natural test taker. I have been building my teaching experience in math, science, grammar and test prep for a variety of age groups for the past six years of my life. This experience has given me a deep understanding of subject areas. I will teach for an understanding of each subject and encourage the balance that is required for a life of enjoyment, learning, and test taking. I've scored in the top 1% on all general sta [more]
