I got a perfect score on the GRE Quantitative section, scored one notch below perfect on the essays, and scored well above average in the Verbal section. Here's my advice for each section. Quant: review all the math you've forgotten through high school geometry, beginning with the most basic arithmetic. If the GRE gives you letters, pick some numbers. Substitute your numbers into the problem to give yourself a concrete example. Verbal: learn your vocab. Pay particular attention to *seldom-used definitions of common words.* What does catholic mean, besides the religion? What does flag mean, b [more]

I took the GRE test two times while preparing to go to grad school. I used various prep books, but never made use of any classes or programs to help boost my score. I have previous experience teaching English to students in France, as I used to live in the region of Bretagne. I also have experience teaching French to university students here in America, as I was a TA up until last May. Finally, most of my tutoring experience [more]

In summer of 2014 I scored a perfect 340 on the GRE-- 170/170 on the Quantitative Section and 170/170 on the Verbal Reasoning section. (I also scored a 5 out of 6 on the Analytical Writing Section). Since then I have tutored several students on the GRE on the quantitative, verbal reasoning, and analytical writing sections. I have perfect scores on the GRE Quantitative & Verbal Reasoning sections (170's), the SAT Math & Reading Sections (800's), and the SAT Math II Subject Test (800). I also have 5's on the AP BC Calculus Exam and both Physics C exams (Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism) [more]
