Welcome! I am a proud homegrown product of the Arizona education system; University High School '99 and the University of Arizona '04! I received my Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics and Statistics while completing graduate course work in biometry. I went on to work as a research associate for a longitudinal study looking at risk factors of cardiovascular disease in African Americans. After working with the study for 9 moths I began graduate studies towards my Master's in Public Health ... [more]

I have taken GRE and scored 167/170 in the Math Section, 146/170 in verbal and a 5/6 in the analytical writing section. I am a Faculty Associate teaching Statistics online for undergraduates since 2014. Prior to my graduate studies, I've worked for over 3 years at various companies including Intel. As a graduate student who took a few courses online myself, I am well aware of how online teaching works. Hence I strive to connect and help students get more out of my online tutoring with every session. I regularly conduct office hours via Skype/Google hangout to provide extra help to those in n [more]

I am currently a full-time GED teacher and I have a very high completion rate (usually a student gets their GED in 2-3 months). I work with minors and adults who have dropped out at eighth or ninth grade. I give them tips for taking tests and show them tricks to learn the material faster. I am positive and I create a learning environment that encourages students to learn. I have taken students from not being able to read all the way through their GED and into college classes.... I enjoy working one on one with students to help them suceed in Algebra. While I would have loved being a high school math teacher, I instead, graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering and later earned an MBA. I recently retired from my management position and now have time to pursue what I love, working with students. It is my experience that their confidence level is typically below their math ability. I work with them to not be afraid of math, improve their comprehension and learn orga... [more]

My Mathematics background is solid and hence my knowledge of the GRE quantitative section. I am a mathematics and physics major at Arizona State University and have been tutoring mathematics here since January 2013 (I tutored at the largest math tutoring center in the nation (ASU's) for 3 years and got a tutor of the year reward there one year). I am always ready to learn more math and share any knowledge of it with other people (in fact I enjoy doing both!). I believe the best way to learn math is to understand the underlying concepts behind mathematical problems, to understand th... [more]

Greetings! Tutoring high school and college students is a joy. After I finished my Master of Arts degree in Higher Education at the University of Arizona, I began tutoring students individually and in pairs. Most of my students are Asian and are working on their Master's Degree or their PhDs. I have taught English in China, tutored a high school student from Japan and spent one summer assisting a student in intensive preparation for taking the TOEFL iBT. I have taught at the local communit... [more]

I tutor because I enjoy it. I also tutor because I am good at it. I enjoy being able to empower students to feel the same euphoria that I felt when I overcame my own struggles in Math. Yes, I struggled with Math. I was a C minus student in Math on a good day. All the way up to High School, I worked hard, and tried, and failed to excel in Math. I excelled in all my other subjects, but Math was a different beast. In High School, I resolved to give Math my all, once and for all. I signed up for... [more]
