I enjoy helping people realize that they can do it!

I have tutored college algebra for three years. I have even been given the opportunity to cover evening algebra classes when an instructor could not make it to class for a review night. I love y=mx+b because it is a beautiful equation and the slope intercept formula is not so bad once you know what vale is which variable letter. Slopes are not so bad once you play with them and get the idea. It is really just getting the core idea down and then applying it to the work you already know how to do. [more]

Linear Algebra in an area of mathematics that studies matrices, how they are used, and what can be done with them to solve a problem. They are mostly used for solving a system of equations in order to determine the answers. I have studied many areas of LA, not only the theoretical part but also the application's part. My major application area has been in engineering and related math and science areas. I am able to help a student understand so that he can do the work without any assistance. [more]

Providing assistance with physics, math, and chemistry.

I have a Ph.D. In physics, which requires a deep understanding of linear algebra. My research work was in computational physics, which makes use of linear algebra. I have used the techniques of linear algebra extensively in modeling and simulation work in my career. I'm currently tutoring at levels of mathematics below and above linear algebra. I have a Ph.D. in physics and chemistry, a Master's degree in physics, and an honors Bachelor of Science degree in physics with a minor in mathematics. My dissertation work involved computational solid-state theory, which allowed me to further develop s [more]

Linear Algebra is the study of linear sets of equations and their transformation properties. Leading up to this course the student has dealt extensively with linear equations primarily concerning calculations and some application word problems. A good foundation in Calculus is helpful. Linear Algebra will delve deep into the theory of linear equations. Topics include, but are not limited to linear systems, Gauss method, vector spaces, linear maps computing, matrices, determinants, eigenvectors, eigenvalues, projections and techniques of proofs. Deaf Math and Theatrical ASL Tutor with MS Degree

I have taken Matrix Algebra and Applied Algebra with an A in each, along with a B+ in Graduate Linear Algebra. I believe that I can help students succeed with their classes in linear and matrix algebra. I am motivated by the ability to see others understand aspects in life better. This takes hard work and dedication in order to ensure success on both ends. I truly enjoyed the positive impacts I made on students while teaching 2 semesters of pre-calculus/calculus recitation sections and tutoring mathematics for over 3 years. Creativity was expanded through my passion of sign language incorporat [more]

Math tutor in Hudson,Ohio. You won't find better.

During my B.S. in pure mathematics from Indiana University with a GPA of 3.6/4.0. I took a series of two courses called Linear Algebra and Linear Transformations. LT was just LA with more theory and more depth. LT was moving towards a graduate dimension theory course. I love math. I love teaching it. I find it intrinsically satisfying to see the light come on in a student's eyes. My first math lesson that I taught was when I was 5. My neighbor, still in diapers, kept skipping 4 when counting from 1 to 10. I worked with him until he could get all 10 numbers in a row, and match them up [more]
