While receiving my mathematics education at UNCW I took Linear Algebra and Matrices as one of my classes. From taking this courses and studying with classmates, I have many mnemonic devices to help assist with theorems, formulas, conversions, etc. Linear Algebra contains a lot of work with matrices and combinations of multiple matrices. This course also requires students to pull their knowledge of piecewise functions from Math 2. My time that I currently spend teaching and tutoring in these Math 2/PreCalc Classes allows me to keep information that students will need in linear algebra fresh in [more]

I'm Doran and I would love to be your tutor! I graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor's degree in Statistics with a minor in Business Administration. Although my studies in undergrad were challenging and time consuming, my endless curiosity forced me to attend graduate school. I will be obtaining my Master's degree in Mathematics in May 2019 from UNC Charlotte and will then move to Dallas, TX to work as a PhD student studying Op... [more]

I have a PhD in applied mathematics with concentration in Computational mathematics and MS in applied math. My BS is a double major in Math and Statistics. I have over 12 years experience teaching math at the university level. I have taught Linear Algebra at the college level for several semesters already. I am an applied mathematician and teaching and directing students come natural to me. I have over 10 years of teaching experience at the University level in various areas of Mathematics such as Basic Mathematics, Engineering Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Calculus, quantitative methods [more]

Linear Algebra generally consists of solving systems of linear equations, using matrices, and vectors. It is a bit more complex than what you may find in Algebra 2 and physics. It may include several variables at one time. My name is Claytonia W., and I have years of experience in a wide range of math and science. I have owned my own business for the last 12 years in Charlotte NC. I have been involved in all aspects of the company, including marketing, web design and operations. My expertise is in math and science. I was a pre-med student at the undergraduate level where I received a degr [more]

I have taken numerous courses in linear or matrix algebra. Additionally I have successfully taken several courses in operations research, including linear, non-linear and dynamic programming, all of which require listing constraints as well as the objective function in matrix format. I convey to students that not only is math fun but that everything in life involves math in one form or another. I emphasize that math is a process of getting from point A to point B. I stress that understanding the process and being able to duplicate the process is more critical than just getting the correct answe [more]

I have over 25 years of experience teaching math. I have taught 6th grade math through Calculus on the university level. Many of these courses include linear algebra in the curriculum. I have written lessons for interactive boards and power point lessons on linear algebra. I am very well versed in this area. I have been a math teacher for over 25 years. I teach every math topic from 4th grade math through college calculus. I enjoy math and can show you how to be successful with this subject. Once you see that you can actually do the math, you will begin to enjoy and learn math with ease [more]

As an Engineer, have solid background in Mathematics (more than 28 college credits) including Linear Algebra. More than that, Linear Algebra has been part of my tutorial subjects for many years. I evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and concerns, and ensure appropriate action is taken. I also write individual lesson plans, research, and identify textbooks, software, and equipment that encourage student advancement. I am a registered engineer in Florida and hold a Master's degree in civil engineering. Also, I have many years of experience teaching Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry [more]

I currently teach all levels of algebra on a junior college level and a senior college level. I took linear algebra in college as an undergraduate and obtained a near perfect 100 average. I currently incorporate matrix algebra and Gauss-Seidel methods for solving systems of equations. My professional experience includes Senior Design Engineer/Principal where I provide civil/structural design, hydraulic design and drafting support for land development projects; conduct environmental site assessments/jurisdictional wetlands delineations; conduct asbestos inspections; analyze geotechnical condi [more]

I took linear algebra while still in high school, got an A grade, then received A's in several algebra courses (abstract algebra, mathematical methods of physics, graduate-level algebra) and received A's in all of them. To this day I can prove that a finite dimensional operator A is nilpotent iff its matrix representation is upper triangular in some basis. I have tutored math, science and writing for 15+ years. I enjoy it so much because it gives me a chance to connect with people and explore deeper ideas and understandings of the universe. Having lived a lot of my life in nature, my tutoring [more]
