I took the 300 level Linear Algebra course at Whitworth University and since then have found it to be essential in higher math. I reviewed higher level material with my research partners for the graduate qualifications exam, and it was at the heart of one of the solutions in my year long research project. It was also the primary tool in a summer seminar I took on compressed sensing and in Numerical Analysis. I am a recent graduate of UT with a Ph.D. in mathematics, with six years teaching experience. I taught a lot of calculus at UT, so I'm pretty familiar with those classes. I am still in Kn [more]

I can help with the following linear algebra topics, among others: the basics of solving systems of equations using matrices, determinants, eigenvalue equations, linear transformations, linear independence, and bases and dimension, orthogonalization, and normalization. I am ready to help with proofs, too! I have taught linear algebra and tutored many students successfully for linear algebra, too. I hold two master's degrees -- one in applied mathematics, one in physics. I started teaching math in 1999. While many of the intervening years saw me as a part-time adjunct instructor of mathematics, [more]

I have taken Linear Algebra as a college math course, a Linear algebra for physicists course, as well as a linear algebra for engineers course. All of which I received an A as the final grade in. The most recent was the course for engineers this past summer. I am originally from Pennsylvania, where I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Physics in 2016 from Shippensburg University as well as completed a minor in Mathematics. I completed 32 credits of math courses despite the minor only requiring 18 credits. I was a tutor in the physics department for 2 years and helped students with homew [more]

I recently Graduated cum laude from Florida State University with degrees in both physics and Pure mathmatics. I have extensive experience in the topics of linear algebra both from the linear algebra courses I took as part of my mathmatics curriculum along with linear algebra applications to calculus and any number of physics courses. Apart from the linear algebra courses I completed at FSU, many of the physics courses including Newtonian mechanics, Electricity and Magnitism and Quantum Mechanics all utilize the techniques of linear algebra on a day to day basis. So I gained an excellent under [more]

I have been tutoring prealgebra and linear algebra professionally for Georgia Northwestern Technical College approximately 23 hours each week. I am currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Teaching Mathematics which includes a number of courses which deal with linear algebra and beyond. I am familiar with graphing linear equations by hand as well as on a computer based system and can approximate the position of linear equations mentally. I am a tutor available for private instruction. I've always taken pride in ability to make the complex understandable. I tutor math professionally at Georgia N [more]

I have never taught linear algebra. I do, however, have extensive experience in algebra, matrices, and vectors. I am also a student of linear algebra. I am currently studies vector spaces, projections, linear transformations, and other related concepts (just for fun!). On October 7, 2013, I completed my PhD in Mathematics and Science Education. My accomplishment demonstrates that it is possible to overcome life's obstacles. As a teenager, I hated math and struggled with it during my middle and high school years. My father, on the other hand, being a great mathematician, motivated me to learn t [more]

With over thirty years of academic math experience at a variety of levels, I offer a full range of math tutoring ranging from from Prealgebra to Calculus, including International Baccalaureate (IB) Courses. I'm also available to tutor for college level courses up to Differential Equations, including Linear Algebra and Finite or Discrete Math. After earning an MS from GA Tech, I went on to teach at the college level for seven of years. I've since transitioned to writing/testing math curricul... [more]

I have taught linear algebra at both the high school and college levels plus privately tutored students on the subject. From an educational background I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in math. Math for many students (and parents/guardians) is scary and something they don't really understand, and something they believe they can't do well. What many of these students are lacking is the self-confidence that they can be successful with their math studies. As a certified, highly qualified math teacher I can help unravel the challenges that are preventing you/your student from [more]

I made an almost perfect 100 in my Linear Algebra class in college. I was then employed by my college to tutor this math class along with others. I now tutor full time as a professional tutor. Howdy, I'm Bobby! I would love the opportunity to make a difference in your student's life through the ACT. I love what I do, and I am blessed to be very good at it. Whether you are starting on the high end of 30 or above or on the low end, my students consistently score at least a 3 point composite increase. With almost all of the other programs in town, a 2 point composite increase is an accomplishment [more]

I completed a formal linear algebra course during my undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland. Linear algebra also arises significantly in my day-to-day engineering calculations (especially when solving differential equations with finite difference approximations), so it is a subject I am intimately familiar with. I am a second-year PhD student at the University at Buffalo originally from Washington, DC. My research at the university is focused primarily on nanomaterial synthesis. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling and playing golf. My teaching experience includes two semesters [more]
