I have taken several courses as an undergraduate that rely heavily on linear algebra including two courses specifically for linear algebra and two quantum physics courses. Hello my name is Nick, in May of 2018 I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a B.S. in Astrophysics as well as a B.S. in Physics. I have been educated and trained to understand a broad range of mathematical and physical concepts and I excel at explaining such concepts. I've been told I have a way of simplifying subject matter in way that is easy to understand and learn, even for those not confident wit [more]

I am a licensed math teacher in MN. I have taught these subjects for three years. I've only been able to favorite these five subjects but I can help with more math areas such as Precalculus, ACT and SAT math, Probability, and Trigonometry. I'm a math teacher in North West Minnesota who's looking to spend a little more time helping others get ahead in math. I've taught for a total of three years (two in North Dakota and one in Minnesota). The classes I've taught are as follows: 7th grade math, General Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and College Algebr [more]

I have a Master's of Science in Applied Economics. This degree required me to use panel data (matrices). Principles of linear algebra abound as a result of matrixed data. While in graduate school, I completed a "math camp" course where we studied the theory of linear algebra. In addition, I completed an upper-level linear programming class which required linear algebra as a prerequisite. I received an A in this course. I love learning and having FUN. I think of challenges as puzzles and enjoy breaking things down step-by-step in order to understand. This is the philosophy I apply to tea [more]

I have taught introductory linear algebra several times from "Linear Algebra with Applications" by Steven J. Leon. More recently, I have tutored this subject at the graduate level from the books "Matrix Analysis" by Roger A. Horn and Charles R. Johnson, and "The Linear Algebra a Beginning Graduate Student Ought to Know" by Jonathan S. Golan. I received a Ph.D. in mathematics from UC Santa Cruz in 1989. Since then, I have worked both in industry and in academia, and I have taught college courses in intermediate algebra, college algebra, trigonometry, calculus, linear algebra, abstract algebra, [more]
