I have completed two courses in Linear Algebra; one being a lower division course focusing on computations, the other an upper division class focusing on proofs. In addition, I have applied linear algebra in building my regression models. Finally, there are many skills I have developed in my general coursework and work experience in Math, Stats, and Econ that can be transferred to tutoring Linear Algebra. I have a double major in Economics and Statistics, and a minor in Mathematics from UC Berkeley. I've had over 10 years' experience working with college students and very much enjoy working [more]

I used to teach this course in the college level. However, in the high school curriculum of Algebra 2, I had to incorporate concepts of Linear Algebra. Thus, I had taught matrices and solving linear equations using matrices. I have been a math teacher for some 30 years, in the high school and college level. My tutoring experience began when I was approached by parent who wanted to give her children extra support in mathematics. I usually tutored high school students. I had students from different school settings -- private schools and public schools. When I taught in college, [more]

I have an extensive experience in linear algebra through my calculus 1 class and tutoring for algebra and pre calculus in Diablo Valley College mathlab. I've always had a great passion to math since I was 6. I've already received my first BSc in engineering and going for my second BSc at Diablo Valley college. I have been recommended from all my math teachers to tutor math and am currently working as a math tutor at DVC mathlab for elementary, intermediate, college algebra and calculus 2. Algebra 1 and 2, precalculus, calculus 2 Visualizing math is one key to understanding it.... [more]

I have 2 years of tutoring experience in linear algebra where I have tutored students both individually and in group settings. I excelled in my own linear algebra courses as well as other courses like abstract algebra, differential equations, and numerical analysis, which required applications of linear algebra. When teaching linear algebra, I use a dual theoretical and application-based approach. Not only do I stress the importance of memorizing key definitions and theorems, but I also show how these theorems can be applied in business and scientific settings. [more]

I love linear algebra and use it almost every day in my research and studies of control systems, optimization, machine learning, and statistical signal processing. For my Certificate of Completion for the workshop Demonstrated Excellence: ?Scholarly Teaching Strategies to Maximize Student Learning? from the Center for Educational Effectiveness at UC Davis, I gave a teaching demonstration of a first lecture on linear algebra. I also have a paper under peer review at an education focused journal discussing connections between linear algebra topics that are not usually taught together. [more]

I am PhD in mathematics and linear algebra is one of my favorite subjects. I scored A+ in this subject. I also do have lot of teaching experience. I can teach linear algebra very well to anyone who needs help in this subject. I am a graduate in mathematics and I have experience working with school and college level students. I really enjoy helping students to understand mathematical fundamentals and improve their skills to solve the problems. Mathematics is really fun for those who practice and understand the logic. My focus is to make students independent thinkers and problem solvers. My stra [more]

I got a Ph.D. degree in Math. And I have taught the course of Linear algebra in college over ten years. So, I am very confident in teaching linear algebra. I have been teaching all kinds of math from high school to college for over twenty years in Korea. Especially, I had taught at one of gifted science high schools for seven years. My main teaching subjects are "AMC 10, 12 / AP Calculus / SAT math". Thank you for the interest in advance.... [more]

I've taught linear algebra two semesters and use it in my work frequently. In particular, I've used linear algebra to describe atom-molecule collisions. I've even used it to develop a beer recommendation system! I have over five years experience teaching and tutoring students in math and programming. I gained most of my experience teaching prison inmates math courses from pre-Algebra to Precalculus and Statistics in San Quentin State Prison. Don't worry, that doesn't mean I'm a mean disciplinarian! (The guys in prison are actually easy to teach.) I really love helping students expand their po [more]

I have a strong background in linear algebra and differential equations. I have a taken mathematics as a subject until my third year of undergrad education. I have a thorough knowledge of the subjects and have been completed around 40+ hours of tutoring in linear algebra. I am a SF State graduate majored in Computer Engineering(masters). I have been tutoring part-time since 5 years. During my master's, I worked at Learning Assistance centre for past 3 semesters as a Math/Science tutor. Apart from being a tutor, I have worked as an Embedded Engineer with high technical skills for two years. I [more]
