I am certified to teach math in grades 6 through 12, and have several years experience doing so. I have taught students matrix operations and their uses. I have also taught students about vectors and vector spaces. I have also used real-world problems such as optimizing production of several items simultaneously to make the topic more relevant to students. I love helping people learn. I am certified in Kentucky to teach any elementary subject area as well as middle school and high school mathematics. My experience includes 8+ years in private schools and 4+ years in public schools. I ha [more]

I have studied linear algebra at the undergraduate and graduate levels. I have also worked with linear and nonlinear programs. This work involves writing and solving large programs (thousands of variables and constraints) for businesses and an international organization. I enjoy working with individual students and helping them with material that can sometimes seem less than exciting. The best reward is seeing the 'aha' moment when they understand the logic behind the material, rather than just memorizing steps. As a graduate student, I was awarded a 'teaching fellowship' for teaching exce [more]

I have a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics. I taught Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra (combined course) courses at my university in the capacity of a Graduate Teaching Assistant. I have a working knowledge of many linear algebra topics, including eigenvalue problems, vector spaces and matrix properties. Real world examples lend themselves very well to this particular subject. Many scenarios in real life are described by linear equations and thus fall under the category of linear algebra. I like to use these examples as teaching tools. Connecting the mathematics to real life can [more]

I completed two courses in Linear Algebra (one course at the graduate level) and covered Linear Programming in an Operations Research course I completed. My name is Michael and I hold a B.S degree in Mathematics and completed 28 hours of graduate work in Mathematics/Statistics at Eastern Michigan University. I am currently certified to teach all levels of middle and high school mathematics, physics, and economics. Prior to earning my B.S degree, my previous major was Engineering. The combination of my college course work left me with a major in mathematics, Statistics and Physics, and a minor [more]

I teach Pre-Algebra and Algebra at the middle school level, and have done so for the past 25 years (as well as English/Language Arts). I was a member of the 21st Century Learning Grant (sponsored by Bill Gates) and tutored at school (ESS - Extended School Services), as well as the Public Library when working with the grant. I am also the case manager of 10-12 students each year, responsible for the monitoring of their individualized Education plans and all learning goals in math and English. I am a private tutor during the summer months, and thought I would investigate the possibilities worki [more]

I can program gaussian elimination method in solving linear equations. I can also program eigenvalue solving methods such as Jacobian method. There are also other ways to solve the eigenvalues that are faster than jacobian. I can teach students the principles of linear algebra by illustrating the 3X3 matrices and determinants. I am a knowledgeable person. I have experiences in school work in almost all areas of science, physics, chemistry and mathematics. I like hard questions, I like regular questions too. I have a Bachelor of science , two master degrees, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree. A [more]

Linear Algebra, I must say, is my most favorite course that I taught in my academic life. Most recently, I taught Linear Algebra course at Rochester Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2016 and the sections I taught count 10. This is my most interested course, and I even reviewed a textbook for Macmillan publishing last year. The textbook is "Linear Algebra" by Holt. My inputs in modifying the textbook were almost all implemented, which also shows the depth of my conceptual and practical knowledge in this subject. [more]

I have a PhD in Economics with a focus on econometrics, which is based on linear algebra. I have spent many years working with data and applying the techniques required in linear algebra. Currently, I am a Senior Business Consultant at Humana (3 years). Prior to this, I was at LG&E as an Economist in the Forecasting Department (10 years). In addition, I am an Adjunct Professor of Economics at Bellarmine University (5 years). I have been tutoring for many years, during and after graduate school. I enjoy teaching and mentoring others and helping to make a difference in their lives.... [more]

I took linear algebra as an undergraduate and received an A grade. I also used linear algebra in several engineering courses. These courses included crystallography as well as several engineering mechanics courses. I am seeking students for most subjects related to math, science, and engineering. I have two B.S. degrees: one in Materials Science and Engineering and one in Chemical Engineering and am currently pursuing my M.S. degree in Earth and Environmental Science. I have a life long passion for learning and am particularly interested in all technical subjects. I developed an interes [more]

I have taught Linear Algebra to undergraduate students at various universities. As a student myself I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in this subject. I hold a doctorate degree in theoretical physics from Florida State University and have tutored more than 3000 students (over 10,000 individual sessions) in Physics and Math broadly defined. I have tutored at all levels of Education ranging from K-12 all the way up to Ph.D. students. In addition, I have taught at various high schools, 4-year colleges, and graduate schools. My students have participated and won first prize in the National Olympiads in [more]
