I've taken an advanced linear algebra and basic functional analysis class with Lorenzo Sadun at UT Austin and gotten an A. The lowest score I got on any subsection of the course was a 94%, if I remember correctly. Regarding math, I got a 780 (88th percentile) on the Math section of the GRE, and have an honors degree in Physics from UT Austin, which required many difficult math courses. While my teaching experience is in physics, many students had weak backgrounds in algebra that I helped them with so that they could understand the physics. [more]

I am a certified 6-12 mathematics teacher in Florida and Georgia. I currently teach Algebra I at Drew Charter Senior academy. Hello! A little about me: I grew up in South Jersey, went to undergrad at UC Santa Barbara earning a minor in education and a major in Psychology. I am also currently getting my Masters in education at Johns Hopkins University! After relocating to Miami through Teach For America, I taught Algebra in the inner city school system for two years. I am now teaching Algebra in Atlanta Public Schools! I am very excited to get started with Wyzant! I am certified in 6-12 mat [more]

I took and earned an B+ in MA 442, an honors-level (proof-based) linear algebra course at Boston University where I received my BA in mathematics. In my physics studies I have extensively applied my knowledge of linear algebra to quantum and classical mechanics, where eigenfunctions of operators define the observed motion of our world. When appropriate, I have tutored my colleagues in various topics in linear algebra such as matrix inversion, Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization, and unitary transformations. [more]

I took multiple Linear Algebra courses to earn my Applied Mathematics degree. Linear Algebra was one of my specialties while studying. Since then, I have been tutoring undergraduate and graduate level Linear algebra courses. Linear algebra is very rich subject and central to both pure and applied mathematics, concerning vector spaces, often finite or infinite dimensional, as well as Linear Mappings between such spaces. Yes, I can make math easy, simple, fun, and allow students to learn by themselves giving them confidence to solve any math question. I have been tutoring, mentoring, and tea [more]

I got my PhD in math at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB). Several of the required courses for my degree included a solid understanding of Linear Algebra. In addition, I have several years of experience tutoring students taking the course. In particular, I worked in the math learning lab at UAB for the past year -- during this time, I tutored several students taking Linear Algebra once a week. I am a PhD graduate of the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB). I've been teaching and tutoring mathematics for over 10 years. My strongest personal characteristics in tutoring are that I'm g [more]

I took linear algebra at Georgia Tech and received the grade of an A. I find this subject is taught entirely through examples, which I have plenty of from the class that I took. I have practice exams and materials that I can use to teach students, which is exactly how I learned. Hi! My name is Hailee and I recently graduated from Georgia Tech. I studied biomedical engineering with a minor in chemistry. I took 16 advanced placement classes in high school and graduated second in my class. I passed all of my AP classes including calculus 1 & 2, physics, chemistry, biology, psychology, English, an [more]

I am Hungtang! I am very excited about your visit! I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a 3.97 GPA a year or two ago and I am now a PhD student at Georgia Tech. I love learning everything about science and engineering! I understand the frustration one might encounter during the learning process. It's going to make your learning experience much less efficient. As a result, people often grow to hate the subject or simply think... [more]

I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics. It's been a while since I tutored linear, but I have experience teaching matrices and eigenvalues that are huge components of the linear algebra course. Additionally, I have taken calculus based physics 1 and 2 where vectors are an additional necessity. My name is Chelsea and I am returning to Altanta from the Anniston, AL area. With my bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Wesleyan College and brief experience as a high school math teacher, I am confident that I can help with all of your math needs. Looking forward to becoming your tutor!... [more]

My Ph.D thesis used linear algebra to approximate the solutions to a partial differential equation. I have also taught the class a number of times. Hey everybody! I am Aris and I am originally from Washington D.C. I moved to Atlanta a couple of years back to be with my wife who is teaching at Spelman. I am currently an assistant professor of mathematics at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Georgia. I have been teaching classes for about 18 years and tutoring for about 22 years. I started pretty young and still remember how it is to be a student and struggle in math classes. I [more]

I completed a course in linear algebra as part of my coursework at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Georgia Tech differs from other universities in that the Algebra 2 course is combined with the Calculus 3 course and taken as one subject. I successfully completed this course. Hello, my name is Keath M. and I am very much interested in being your tutor. I grew up in the Peachtree City, GA area and graduated from Starrs Mill High School in 2007. Following high school, I attended the The Georgia Institute of Technology studying in Industrial and Systems Engineering. I have always had a natu [more]
