I received a Bachelors on Science degree from University of California at Berkeley where linear algebra was part of the core curriculum. I then continued my education and obtained a Masters in Science degree from California State University East Bay in applied mathematics where I took more advanced courses in linear algebra. I am currently teaching at Metropolitan State University of Denver and teach many of the topics that are covered in linear algebra. This semester I am teaching Computational Matrix Algebra which is entirely linear algebra. [more]

Seeing the world through the use of linear models helps shed light on the mysteries around us and enriches each student with greater understanding of mathematics. I have a BS in Secondary Education with 36 hours of mathematics including Linear Algebra in which I recheived an A in. I have also taken graduate level classes in Math education through a grant by University of Texas A and M. I have taught Algebra through Pre-Calculus for 5 years and tutored all levels of college math for 4 years. I enjoy helping a student see the fun and excitement in learning that he or she can be good at math. [more]

I graduated Magna cum Laude and acquired my Master's degree soon afterwards. I have taken a course in Linear Algebra in college and work with students in all math topics often. I also use these concepts frequently in physics in the form of differential matrix equations, vector wave functions and particle physics equations, so I'm more than prepared to help you master this topic! Teaching is what I do! I have TAed multiple classes and taught dozens of students piano and STEM topics. I tutor students in all math categories, physics, chemistry, biology, and others, as well as teach piano! I only [more]

I have taken linear algebra courses as both an undergraduate and a graduate student and done well in them. I studied physics as an undergraduate which uses large amounts of linear algebra. My name is Alex. I am a 25 year old graduate student in mathematics at CU Denver. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in physics and a B.A. in mathematics. I feel most comfortable tutoring in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Trigonometry, Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations because I use these subjects almost daily. I tutored off and on for 5 years during [more]

I am an Aerospace engineer with a Bachelor's and a master's degree. This includes taking college level engineering mathematics courses. I have been tutoring pre Algebra, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry for past one year in South Denver area. Understanding of basic mathematical concepts goes a long way in achieving higher level math success. I specialize in simplifying math concepts and help achieve logical base for all levels of math students. Emphasis is not only on methodical problem solving but also on speed and shortest possible method to solve a problem. My name is Manu, and I have a M [more]

I have been a teacher assistant in several graduate level physics and chemistry courses, with a great majority of the material leaning heavily on the use of linear algebra and vector spaces. I have extensive experience using matrix methods to solve systems of differential equations, as well as eigenvalue and eigenvector problems. I use Mathematica to check our work and visualize vector spaces wherever possible. My educational background is a thorough mix of chemistry, physics, and mathematics. As an undergraduate I had opportunities to tutor and TA chemistry and physics courses as a chem/physi [more]

I have a master's degree in applied math, for which I took graduate level linear algebra and numerical analysis classes. Additionally, my thesis incorporated robust principal components analysis techniques to identify low-dimensional manifolds isolating desired signals in a large data set. I worked in finance as a derivatives trader for 15 years making real-time risk decisions involving multi-dimensional quantitative problems. I?ve always been attracted to quantitative problems because I am more verbal/cerebral/?right-brained? by nature. After reading that the secret to Einstein?s histori [more]

I took a college level Linear Algebra course. Engineering courses rely heavily on Linear Algebra concepts. My name is David, but you can call me Mr. Number Cruncher. I have over 10 years of experience working in the field of Electrical Engineering. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from LeTourneau University and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University. My GPA for each degree was above 3.5. Along with my WyzAnt tutoring experience, I have almost three years of online tutoring experience as a certified Tutor.com Alg [more]

I passed a linear algebra class in college with a 94 average and tutored my peers in linear algebra during my junior and senior year. Hello! My name is Caroline, I'm a certified teacher in math for grades 5-12 and have knowledge in many other areas. I have 7 combined years of tutor and teaching experience. By teaching students one-on-one I can easily assess the student's needs. I believe that using many different approaches to teaching is necessary to help every student understand the material. Mathematics is actually fun, provided one understands the logic behind the subject. Math not only [more]

I have taken and passed both undergraduate and graduate linear algebra courses. For a project in the graduate linear algebra course I developed an algorithm for finding generalized eigenvectors, and the Jordan-canonical form of a matrix. Two of the courses I teach on a regular basis have chapters devoted to matrices. I love math but more than that I love when I can change someone's mind about math. I hear over and over phrases such as; "I can't do math", "I don't have a math brain", or "I wish I could get math". I have good news, those statements are not true. Anyone can be good at math, it [more]
