I have a B.A. and M.S. in Mathematics. During my undergraduate studies I got a 4.0 in Elementary Linear Algebra and a 3.9 in Linear Algebra. I have several successful experiences tutoring college students in algebra at various levels. I have 15 years of experience teaching mathematics to students of all ages and backgrounds, but I especially enjoy tutoring students one-on-one where I can focus on the student's individual learning needs. I have taught and tutored elementary, middle school, high school, and college students in arithmetic through pre-calculus. I have taught mathematics to stu [more]

Linear Algebra, I must say, is my most favorite course that I taught in my academic life. Most recently, I taught Linear Algebra course at Rochester Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2016 and the sections I taught count 10. This is my most interested course, and I even reviewed a textbook for Macmillan publishing last year. The textbook is "Linear Algebra" by Holt. My inputs in modifying the textbook were almost all implemented, which also shows the depth of my conceptual and practical knowledge in this subject. [more]

I taught this subject about 3 years to high school and college students. I also took this course when I was in college and my graduate program. I have an experience with physics and math teaching as a tutor for high school students and as a TA for collage students. My teaching subject is various physics and math subjects from TA, tutoring, and research experience. From the previous experience, I started to love to see student and make them learning and understanding the principle of math and physics. I started to teach all the subjects of middle school and high school math when I was in [more]

As to my background and credentials in this area I spent 23 years working for the Department of the Air Force overseeing the design and testing of feedback and control systems that were used in programs such as Talon Gold which was a pointing and tracking laser weapon for use in space. When SDI came into existence this program was changed to a new program called Pathfinder but with the same mission. These programs required the knowledge and use of state space and linear system principles which are based on a major use of linear algebra and differential equations to assure system stability. I have received a MA degree in mathematics science from University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), and I have taken discrete math/linear algebra when I was attending UTA. Both courses show on my UTA transcript. I have taught several classes on these two subjects. I taught discrete math at Henry Cogswell college located in Everest, WA. Also, I taught several algebra classes using theories and concepts derived from linear algebra. I have a degree of MA in mathematics and a degree of MS in computer science. I have earned both degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington. For my teaching bac [more]

I have been tutoring linear algebra for 10 years. During my student teaching, I taught pre-calc and many concepts that was weaved in with linear algebra. Linear algebra is always integrated with algebra 1 and 2 as we graph vectors, in trigonometry when solving and working with matrices, etc. I am California credentialed math teacher with 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I opted out of teaching in a classroom setting to focus on helping students one-on-one reach their highest math potential in an effective and personalized study environment. I LOVE working with students in an one [more]

I completed my MS in Computer Science in the year 1995 from Clemson University. I had a stint in the Software industry for a while. I worked with big companies like Oracle and Cisco (was there for about 8 years total). While working I used to take time out on the weekends to teach (not so privileged) kids in a community college nearby. This developed into a habit and I thought of formalizing it. I enrolled myself with a professor to take her regular classes as well, so she could take time out... [more]

I've been working with linear Algebra since 1994. The only thing that's changed since then, is the status of Fermat's Theorem! I've shadowed and otherwise worked closely with Professor Z, the Math Dept Head for the San Bernardino Community College district. Linear Algebra is a way to apply new tools and perspectives to most of the popular maths, sciences, and even language. I'm currently completing my requirements for a single subject CA Teaching Credential in Mathematics, to teach Calculus and other advanced math at the high school and college levels. I've tutored dozens of students in all le [more]

I have a Bachelor, master and PHD of Science in Physics. Furthermore, in my previous work as a research assistant , I had to use linear algebra for coursework and basic models. I have a Ph.D. in Physics, University of North Texas and a Physics Postdoc at Univeristy of British Columbia, Canada. I graduated in physics PHD in 2004! I have worked in University for many years and have a great experience in teaching college students. I am also a MATH COUNTS tutor for Middle school students and Olympiad tutor for high school students. I have tutor experience for 6 years. My best student enrolled US [more]
