I received an A in my undergraduate Linear Algebra class with a reputedly difficult teacher. Since then, I've applied my linear algebra skills in physics and math classes with great results. I am able to demonstrate the importance and application of linear algebra to students and am ready to help more students understand these concepts. Hi everyone! I have over 9 years of tutoring experience in physics, math and chemistry, in addition to TA and lecture teaching experience. I am certified through the Princeton Review. I have received many positive reviews from people whom I have tutored and I h [more]

I have passed the Praxis Middle math exam with a score of 177. The national standard is 165. I have spent a half year teaching I integrated math 2 and 3. I am currently a teacher with Montgomery County Schools. I have over 8 years teaching in the public school system and am new to the Christiansburg area. I love teaching math and used to be a struggling math student myself so I now approach my tutoring with all these things in mind. When students struggle in algebra it is generally because they struggle with the basics. I would patiently review order of operations and integers rules as wel [more]

I have taught linear algebra for many years both for the math majors and for the engineering students. I have passed courses which use linear algebra extensively, such as Linear Models in Statistics and Linear Systems in Systems Engineering. I have experience training students in probability and statistics for many fields of study, including actuarial programs. I have gone through the experience of studying and passing actuarial exams and will train the students to prepare for the actuarial exams. I have a Ph.D. in probability theory and have training in Statistics. I have taught statistics [more]

I have taught Algebra, Pre-algebra, and Algebra 2 for nearly a decade in classrooms and in my private business. I have been highly qualified in 3 states and have passed math exams in the two which required it. I have been an educator for 20 years now and have taught math, including Algebra I & II, for many of them. I'm a 20-year veteran teacher who has taught English, Math, History, Biology, and other subjects. As a special educator, I became qualified to teach all of these subjects while adhering to the state core standards expected. From basic classes to AP, I've been there. The method I em [more]

I have a Masters in mathematics and have taught Linear Algebra courses. Also, my Master's Thesis was in numerical linear algebra. From an early age I have had a love of mathematics and problem solving. I always knew I would pursue a career in mathematics. After obtaining a B.S. in mathematics with a minor in computer science from Lynchburg College, I completed a M.A. in mathematics from Wake Forest University with additional work in computer science. Fate pushed me into education, where I fell in love with teaching. The first five years of my career was spent teaching college. From there [more]

I have over 25 years of experience teaching math. I have taught 6th grade math through Calculus on the university level. Many of these courses include linear algebra in the curriculum. I have written lessons for interactive boards and power point lessons on linear algebra. I am very well versed in this area. I have been a math teacher for over 25 years. I teach every math topic from 4th grade math through college calculus. I enjoy math and can show you how to be successful with this subject. Once you see that you can actually do the math, you will begin to enjoy and learn math with ease [more]

I have an experience of more than 13 years teaching in public schools in U.S.A . I have always taught linear algebra to my high school students and I use child centered and hands on method when I teach math to my students as they retain facts easily and find it interesting to learn math and increases their creative strengths. I am a math teacher by profession , working in a public school. I have 16 years of teaching experience which includes 4 years of teaching experience for home bound students. I have my bachelors of science and bachelors of education done from a reputed university. Te [more]

I completed the course Linear Algebra at Appalachian State University in the fall of 2011 and received a course average of an 'A'. In fall 2013 I tutored a fellow student in Linear Algebra. I worked with this student in particular on a review of matrices before moving on to the higher level topics within this course. Growing up with my mom as a first grade teacher, teaching has been around me my whole life. From a young age, I have enjoyed attending summer school with my mom and helping to tutor students. Over the past 15 years, I have found time every year to go into my mother's classroom an [more]

Linear algebra tries to handle systems of multi-variable equations in matrix form. ME grads like myself must complete a sophomore-level course on the subject. Modern-control theory favors this matrix concept in senior/grad-level ME courses to treat even differential equations whether or not they are "Laplace transformed" into algebraic form. If you have to complete courses like these, I've taken a few and can guide you. One key coping mechanism is to lay out your system to minimize variables: "triangular"-ize the matrix so it may be "back-solved." By rearranging and by cautiously rounding-of [more]
