I took Linear Algebra at the University of Texas at Austin for an upper-division math elective. I received an A and the students I tutored in the subject subsequently also did well in the class and improved dramatically enough to garner an A-. Throughout my career, I have achieved many interesting and diverse things: I have worked on cutting edge NASA imaging systems, innovated new combustion engine technologies for Cummins, played saxophone on two Grammy-nominated albums, coded video games and artificial intelligence algorithms, and co-wrote several screenplays, three of which were optioned b [more]

Linear algebra is both a computational and a proofs course. However, different instructors will often focus on different aspects of the course, so there is a fair amount of variability among individual courses. As a math major, I have studied a wide range of mathematics and am well-suited for tutoring linear algebra, but proofs cannot always be quickly generated on the fly. When possible, I ask students to let me spend a day or so on the material before our session, in order that the session itself may go more smoothly. For much of the simpler material, such as matrix or vector operations, bei [more]

I got my master's in Mathematics, but took several more years of graduate classes. I studied linear algebra, took higher courses in algebra. I used applied linear algebra in my programming courses, and even included some of the material while teaching differential equations at the University of Tennessee. Hi Everyone! I'm Zachary. I've a passion for mathematics, and I love to see students all find success! I've taught everything from high school freshmen to college seniors in a variety of subjects. I did research in mathematical biology, and I love connecting mathematics of all kinds to t [more]

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. I used linear algebra techniques in my Ph.D. and post doctoral work. I have both theoretical and practical experience in linear algebra. I started tutoring and teaching as a way to support myself in college and graduate school. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Guilford College, a Masters in Geoscience from Harvard University and a Ph.D. from Stony Brook University. My students averaged a grade of A- per semester at both Harvard and Stony Brook. As a research scientist I found that I miss the interaction with studen [more]

I have taken this course and obtained an A in both under-graduate level and graduate level linear algebra. I have masters degree in Physics and Statistics. I have 10 years of teaching experience in math and physics. I like to watch moments when a student understands the solution of a problem. Those are very rewarding moments. I have tutored in math and physics at the high school level and taught physics and developmental math at the community college level for 5 and 2 years respectively. I am good at problem solving and planning. I would like to tutor physics, math and statistics.... [more]

I have been tutoring for 12 years now and have had great success with my students, ranging from middle school to college-age, and non-traditional students. As a part of Student Mentorship Programme during my undergraduate studies, I mentored 4 of my juniors and helped them understand first-year mathematics, Physics and Data Structure - often considered the toughest subjects in Engineering. I also guided one of them to secure a position among the top 1% of the institute thereby helping him ... [more]

I'm a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics, Research Professor. I have had 70 scientific publications. I have results in finite-dimensional (matrices) and infinity-dimensional linear operators geometry. I have taught and tutored Linear Algebra, and applied it in my research. I'm a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics, a Research Professor. I'm the CEO of Math Consulting. I taught Math, Physics, and Science at a high school. I taught at the Moscow State University, at the Institute for Theoretical & Experimental Physics in Moscow, Russia, at the University of Texas at Austin, [more]
