I took Linear Algebra at the University of Texas at Austin for an upper-division math elective. I received an A and the students I tutored in the subject subsequently also did well in the class and improved dramatically enough to garner an A-. I specialize in advanced math, science, and engineering subjects at the college-level but also teach English, writing, and music. My experience as a teacher spans over 15 years with a strong track record for success. I believe everyone, and I mean everyone, has the capacity to learn, and I do my best to take the subject material and make it as easy to un [more]

Linear Algebra is a subject I've tutored for over three years. As with all of my math classes I had an A in it, but, more importantly, as a result of my experience in teaching it I've developed not only a keen grasp of the subject but a style of presenting it that my students get. Tutoring in the Converse area. I have a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in Physics from Prairie View A&M University. My approach to tutoring is flexible and, more to the point, effective. While I do have a general strategy I employ for certain subjects, I can adapt and modify it to meet the individual needs of my s [more]

I am familiar with the standards for all levels and teach where you are to get you to where you need to be.... [more]

I have taken Linear algebra in the college. I have also taught students on Matrices and Determinants. Solving simultaneous equations using matrices is a lot of fun. Hi, I have a Ph. D. degree in Biochemistry and was involved in active research on anti-tumor drugs in the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After 30 years of research In the UTHSCSA, I recently retired from research. I would love to teach Math, Algebra, Precalculus, Chemistry and Biochemistry at College level and chemistry at the undergraduate level. I have taught numerous students in Math, algebra, Precal [more]

I have a BS, MS, and PhD in mathematics. I completed graduate and undergraduate courses in linear algebra with grades of A. I also completed numerous courses requiring linear algebra as a prerequisite. Additionally, I have taught linear algebra at the college level many times in my 25 years of teaching mathematics. I have a PhD from University of the Incarnate Word, a Master's in Mathematics, and a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics from UTSA. I have been teaching and tutoring for almost 30 years. I can tutor any type of math or statistics through the graduate level and any subjects in middl [more]

Linear algebra is among my favorite subjects to teach because it combines many concepts of algebraic math. I help students by exposing them to different kinds of problems. Examples of problems include: finding the slope when two points are given, how to determine whether two lines are perpendicular or parallel, and finding the equation of lines when only a point and the slope are given. I helped a former student from a D in her class to a B+ and helped give her the confidence to conquer more complex mathematical concepts in her next classes. [more]
