I took a class focusing on this subject in the Spring of 2012. I also took a Math Methods course which covered linear algebra as an important topic. During the courses, I was among the top three in the class in grade performance and I finished the class with an A. Also, while in the class, I helped tutor peers in that class on how to do linear algebra. There are many ways to improve oneself. None is quite like the power you get from educating yourself on how to better perform. As America moves forward, jobs are requiring more technical knowledge and expertise. And yet at the same time, the edu [more]

I have taken many hours of math coursework at the undergraduate and graduate level while studying engineering. Linear Algebra was one of the required courses for completing an undergraduate degree. After learning the theory behind linear algebra, I used the knowledge to solve engineering problems, using both manual and computational techniques, in several other courses such as dynamical systems, vibrations, systems control and computer graphics. Math and science were my favorite subjects throughout my formal schooling and I can help any student improve their knowledge in these courses by help [more]

I have a master's degree in mathematics so it is natural that I have taken advanced courses in both modern and linear algebra. I have also tutored the subject and have been using it in my own research (molecular biochemistry and biophysics). Despite the fact that I can offer assistance in many subjects to students of all ages, my academic credentials and background which include two Master of Science degrees and several years of teaching experience at a college level make me more inclined to work with college and advanced high school students on science (mathematics, physics, chemistry, and bi [more]

I have a Bachelor's of Science in Math, from Wheaton College. I have taken Linear Algrebra, and several more advanced, algreba-based classes, including Modern Algebra, Real Analysis, and Complex Analysis. I am confident working with linear systems. Dear potential student, I am math teacher, who studied math and anthropology. I have had a lot of experience tutoring math topics, ranging from pre-algebra to calculus. I have also tutored autistic individuals. Finally, I have a strong background in various social studies fields as well through my work in anthropology, including history and sociolo [more]

I have been teaching and tutoring mathematics for over a decade. I always feel fulfilled teaching mathematics, which I believe is what I am created to do: teach and discuss mathematics. Most people whom I have taught eventually become skillful mathematics. I don't just teach mathematics but makes mathematics subjects and courses fun. I make what others call complex concept and idea so lucid that students grasp the ideas so easily. I encourage you to give a trial and I am sure that that trial ... [more]

I took linear algebra in college. I regularly apply it to find principal axes in physics problems, or to change an equation with cross terms to an equation without cross terms (I suppose this would be non linear algebra, since you have x1*x2 terms and x1^2, etc. but the same principles apply). I regularly use eigenvectors and values to find normal modes of oscillation in mechanical systems, or to solve differential equations. Linear algebra comes up a lot in physics. I'm a physics major at IPFW. I'm soon to be graduated and will hopefully move on to graduate school in some theoretical field, m [more]

I took the course as an undergrad in electrical and computer engineering. I used to teach the subject to undergrads as a private tutor. I used linear algebra on applications for my masters in bioengineering. I can demonstrate my knowledge by recording a class or presenting it in front of students and teachers of the subject I am a Medical Doctor from Colombia who also has training in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Bioengineering from the University of Oklahoma. Teaching has been a passion all my life and enjoy teaching people to learn. I am a very patient [more]

I'm a recent graduate of Middlebury College where I earned a BA in Physics. I would love to share my passion for math, physics, and analytical thinking by tutoring students at the high school and undergraduate level. I have one year of tutoring experience at Middlebury where I was a physics teaching assistant. As a teaching assistant, I helped with the laboratory demonstrations, graded homework assignments, and led weekly extra help sessions. During these extra help sessions, I would help st... [more]

This is an important topic with many many applications, and I studied it as part of my training in physics. I have helped many students with advanced math classes such as this. My experience working in physics research provides me with knowledge of real world applications as well. I can help you come to grips with challenges in physics, chemistry, math and related subjects (see list of subjects). I am available to tutor students at all levels, up to and including grad. school. I have experience tutoring elementary and high school, ACT, SAT, college, MCAT, and graduate school. Whether you are s [more]

I completed this course at Illinois Central College. I also have taught and tutored the material from it. The concepts I have covered include matrices, determinants, and solution sets. I also have worked with students on using a graphing calculator to solve the problems. While teaching high school math, I also have presented concepts such as matrices and determinants to students. Math doesn't have to be stressful. I will help you find ways not only to learn the material, but also to identify with it. Identifying with a subject means you make connections to it, even when you're not studying [more]
