Linear algebra is really just the study of the same math learned in high school, but with more confusing names. It is easy to relate some of the more advanced vector and matrix concepts to simple algebraic equations. I find when teaching students linear algebra, having a high school textbook nearby is a big benefit. Linear algebra may seem like a lot of hard concepts, but it's really just easy concepts with hard names. I am an experienced tutor in mathematics and the mathematical sciences. I have been a private tutor since 2013, and have privately tutored all kinds of math courses, includin [more]

I completed a course in linear algebra at Williams College in the fall of 2008. The topics covered in my course included matrix mechanics, eigenvalues, and some more general material on properties of vector spaces. I graduated from Williams College in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in astronomy and I currently work in New Jersey. I can help students in subjects such as science, mathematics, and computer programming. The subjects that I've tutored include calculus, English, computer programming, and geometry. Relevant to test prep tutoring, as a high school student, my coursework included AP [more]

I teach Linear Algebra (MTH 201) at Burlington County College. This subject includes topics such as linear systems, matrix operations, vectors and vector spaces, linear independence, basis and dimension, homogeneous systems, rank, coordinates and change of basis, orthonormal bases, linear transformations, kernel and range, determinants, cofactor expansion, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, diagonalization, diagonalization of symmetric matrices. I am a PhD student in applied mathematics. I have taken 4 classes just on Linear Algebra. I have also held study sessions in linear algebra for advanced math majors as the math club president at Rutgers and have tutored Linear algebra. I have all my degrees from New Jersey schools. I have an A.S. from Mercer County Community College, B.A. from Rutgers University, M.S. from Montclair State University, and am currently a PhD candidate in Mathematics at NJIT. I have always loved explaining material to other students. When I was at Rutgers I discovered that many professors are researchers and not [more]

I am highly proficient in linear algebra. I received an A- in Linear Algebra at NYU. I have also tutored others in Linear Algebra. I have a BA in Mathematics from New York University and I will be going for a PhD in Mathematics next year. Hi, I have a BA in Mathematics from New York University. I have extensive experience in tutoring, and my approach is to create a strong foundation in whatever area of math I tutor, allowing each student to fully grasp the material and excel. This method is invaluable for preparing for math classes and exams which focus on not just what you know, but also h [more]

I have been tutoring linear algebra (and other subjects in math) for the last twelve years. In addition I used linear algebra frequently during my graduate studies in mathematical physics. As an undergraduate with a major in math, linear algebra was a required course. My background is mathematical physics (PhD). I also have a strong background in mathematics. I have been tutoring mathematics and physics for the past 15 years at all levels and have worked as an adjunct professor in these subjects for the last few years. Since every student is different, I try to ?customize? my approach to mee [more]
