I have taught linear algebra at basis for two straight years and going to teach it next school year. I went to the University of Arizona to become a math teacher. I graduated in 2013 and I immediately got a job at Basis. I am currently in my 3rd year of teaching math at Basis. I teach 5th graders Pre-Algebra and I also teach 10th-12th Graders Linear Algebra and Number Theory. I have taught 5th graders Pre-Algebra for the past three years. I have taught Linear Algebra last year and this year and I have taught Number Theory for the first time this year to seniors. I also make sure to give my s.. [more]

I have attended honors classes from Honors Math Topics 1 to Honors Math Topics 6. I also went to Honors Pre-Calculus and AP Statistics, receiving straight As in all my math classes. I have tutored freshmen-junior students in math, including linear algebra, for two whole years. They have received substantial improvement in their testing and homework scores. My passion for teaching and helping others grow came from my high school experiences. I taught freshmen the final 3 years of high school as an Anti-Defamation League trainer, teaching them the significance and prevention of bullying and disc [more]

Linear algebra is a fundamental discipline in computational physics, which is my research area. It is needed in data analysis algorithms, numerical methods in analysis (the solution of partial/ordinary differential equations), and for computational geometry, all of which occur frequently in my work. I have taken linear algebra in the mathematics department and have reinforced the fundamental concepts repeatedly through advanced coursework in the physics department such as quantum mechanics and general relativity. It is also one of the most beautiful areas of mathematics, and a personal favori [more]

I have tutored in this subject at two separate colleges. I received an A when I took this subjects, and similarly helped students I tutored receive higher scores on their tests by explaining the logic of the proofs to them. I am a college graduate with 2 bachelor of science degrees: Aerospace Engineering, and Space Physics. I was a tutor at my university for 2 years in higher level math and physics before I graduated. After graduation, I became a tutor at my hometown's community college while I looked for engineering careers. While there, I also tutored all levels of math and physics. T [more]

I have been in school for over 17 years. I have a bachelor's degree in physics, with a minor in mathematics. I also have a master's degree in physics and a PhD in physics. I have taught mathematics classes and physics classes as well as laboratories. I took linear algebra in the 90's, but have used it in mathematical methods courses throughout my time as a student and teacher. Hello. My name is Walter and I live in the Mesa AZ area. I did my undergraduate education at Chicago State University, and did my graduate education at Howard University in Washington DC. I have worked at various fac [more]

I have completed courses in introductory linear algebra through my undergraduate curriculum and have studied more advanced linear algebra (relying more on proofs through pure mathematics). In addition, I understand the Abstract Algebra underpinning the subject and have practiced linear algebra through non-relativistic quantum mechanics. ?How can you not understand?? ??And you can figure out the rest for yourself? ?What?s there to be confused about?? ?It?s obvious that???Have you ever been told any of these in your class? I?ve heard these complaints from students time and time again. While c [more]

I am very well grounded in Linear Algebra. While on my PhD program at Arizona State University I took graduate courses in Advanced Mathematical Analysis from the Department of Mathematics. I can also tutor in Problem Solving Techniques with Matlab for Linear Algebra as well as College Algebra. I was a Teaching Assistant at ASU for 7-8 Years. I also served as a Faculty Associate in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at A.S.U. for one year and taught a Senior Level Course on Micro Computer Programming, Interfacing and Real Time Control. I love to teach when I have the time a [more]

I taught at Pima Community College for over 5 years. Also, I published notes on linear algebra. I have the following academic credentials: BS, MS, and a PhD (ABD) in Pure Math and Math Education are my background education. After over 40 years teaching math, I realize the importance of it in my life. I have lots of experience being a Professor, instructor, teacher, coach and team player. On the other hand, BS,( Bachelor of Science) MS,( Master of Science)and a PhD (ABD) in Pure Math. And my field of expertise is anything From basic arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus [more]

I have taken MAT342 (Linear Algebra) my freshmen year of college at Arizona State University with an A in the class and a 100% on the final exam. I watched and took notes on over 90% of the Khan Academy Linear Algebra videos. I have been tutoring Linear Algebra at ASU since May 2013. I am a mathematics and physics major at Arizona State University and have been tutoring mathematics here since January 2013 (I tutored at the largest math tutoring center in the nation (ASU's) for 3 years and got a tutor of the year reward there one year). I am always ready to learn more math and share any knowled [more]

I have received an A+ in MAT 342 at ASU in Tempe and ever since have been tutoring students in Linear Algebra. The basics is the understanding of matrices and the Gauss-Jordan Method. Later you get into inverses, proofs of a vector space(zero, scalar, addition), eigen values, dot product, and much more. Differential equations and Mathematical structures are good prerequisites to take before starting Linear Algebra. Basically the whole class is solving system of equations through matrices. Hello to all interested in learning and understanding not only how to excel in math classes, but how to al [more]
