In order to be admitted into the Ph.D. program at The College of William & Mary, I had to complete the GRE. One of the components of this test is the logic section. I scored at the 95th percentile, as compared to other persons taking the test across the nation. My score was the highest score in the history of William & Mary. I teach Algebra from the logical point of view. I teach a unit on nothing but logic at the beginning of the semester. Students learn from this. They also have fun. My experience and expertise in this area should qualify me to teach logic. [more]

I am qualified to tutor in logic because I earned a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Iowa. To complete this degree, I learned and used logic truth tables and reasoning exercises. I received grades of B or above in my math classes including a Logic course. Hello, I love to teach mathematics and help students understand and become more interested in this subject. I have taught a variety of grade levels as I am a licensed K-12 Iowa math teacher. I earned a Masters degree in Math and a PhD in Math Education from the University of Iowa. I tutor in all K-12 or college level [more]

I have taken classes from the Philosophy, Computer Science, and Mathematics departments in college and earned As, like philosophy and logic, discrete mathematics, and computer architecture. I have a Masters plus 30 in Mathematics. I have taught and tutored students preparing for the logic-based LSAT test. I use logic to write computer programs and solve math problems often. I am a teacher and instructor with over 7 years in classrooms with students from the 7th grade through college. My students are extremely successful on every high school end-of-course exam and that success continues in [more]

As an undergraduate I took not only symbolic logic but also a graduate level modal logic course. Logic and the analysis of linguistic form was my focus in my philosophy degree. I have always been amazed by the power of communication and of becoming acquainted with another culture. Teaching English has become my passion as it gives an individual the power to make themselves known in a new language. As a teacher, the cultural lessons I learn from my students and their families are priceless. I offer personalized lessons and give targeted feedback so that YOU can achieve your English learning goa [more]

I have a B.S. Degree in Mathematics from University of Missouri-KC (graduated May 2012, 3.372/4.0 GPA). I have a M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Duke University (graduated December 2014, 3.6/4.0 GPA). I have taken and passed many mathematical proofs courses which rely on theories founded on Logic. I have also tutored logic. I am a Systems Engineer working for a defense contracting company. I graduated from Duke with a Masters in Electrical Engineering and I also have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a minor in Physics/Astrophysics. I have expertise in tutoring al [more]

I took a logic course in college, but very quickly started officially co-teaching the class. Logic is very close to binary arithmetic, which I'm deeply familiar with. So I ended up helping a classroom full of philosophy students grapple with this rather mathematical subject. I'm a Ph.D. physicist at Fermi National Labs, working on the CMS experiment at CERN. I have degrees in physics and electrical engineering, as well as a minor in math. I've taught seven college physics classes, as well as a college calculus class. I've tutored math and physics on and off for the past 16 years, including co [more]

I have been studying logic and related fields for years, having earned a bachelor's and master's in philosophy. Though it is often obvious when an argument is logical or illogical, sometimes it is not. In both cases, I can help students notice the patterns, structures, and fallacies that make up good and bad arguments. I can help students come to understand why an argument is logical or illogical. Once one understands the why, he can then produce valid arguments and avoid producing invalid ones on his own with accuracy and style. [more]

Logic is a method of understanding where you are, knowing where you want to go and planning and executing strategy on how to get there. It can be both intuitive and methodical. I have done logic puzzles, games, chess, math and algebra (for work and for fun) over the past 45 years. I can help you with the rules (how to get started), basic strategies. From there, your desire and passion will determine whether you continue to challenge your mind on a regular basis. We can incorporate logic and strategy games, Clue, Sodoku, puzzles, math, card games, etc. Chess can be a great tool to bring out le [more]

I have tutored logic and logical reasoning for 3 years. I am conversant with the application of logic in Mathematics and other fields. I tutor tests such as the LSAT which emphasize on logical reasoning. About Me I have MS in Organic Chemistry and during my time in school I tutored students in Chemistry and various other subjects. I was a Teaching Assistant for the 3 years during my masters and enjoyed teaching. It gave me an opportunity to not only improve my teaching style, but it was a challenging experience. In a class setting, it was always important to ensure that every student underst [more]

I believe I am qualified to tutor logic because most of my colleges courses after my first semester my sophomore year are all logic based. Sets and logic was the first course I took and received a B+, I received an A- in numerical analysis, and an A in complex variables. These courses needed logic and reasoning, as well as proof writing to be successful in these courses. I began teaching algebra while I was a freshman in college. I taught 5 algebra courses with a 96% pass rate. I also have success in tutoring all branches of math from algebra to calculus, as well as some logic and theory cours [more]
