I have taken multiple courses in mathematical logic, theory of computation, model theory, Boolean algebra, and digital design at both the undergraduate and graduate levels at University of Maryland, UNCG, and NC State. Additionally, I passed a PhD qualifying exam in the subject. I have been tutoring and teaching basic algebra through advanced undergraduate level* math for over 10 years. My students and clients have consistently praised my patience and clarity. During my time as a mathematics lecturer and TA at the University of Maryland, I received a Gold Medal in Teaching Excellence and a ple [more]

I have an extensive quantitative background, including numerous methods, mathematics, and deductive logic courses. TEACHING/ TUTORING APPROACH: I view teaching as a calling, rather than a job. Needless to say, I am very passionate about teaching and helping students improve. I take an individualized approach to each student. That is, I try to figure out what works best for them. I believe in focusing on developing lasting understanding of concepts involved, rather than memorizing. I believe that knowing WHY something is the case makes a subject a lot easier (not to mention more fun). BACKGROU [more]

Last semester, I took Logic Design Principles in which I learned how to analyze and design combinational and sequential logic circuits. I have experience working in Logisim. As for mathematical logic, I took discrete math for computer scientists, so I know boolean algebra, proof writing, propositional and predicate calculus. I'm a recent graduate of NC State University. I received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering this December (2017). I enjoy tutoring students in math and science at the high school and college level. I have been [more]

I am currently a fourth-year graduate student in good standing in the department of philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin. I have taken both an undergraduate level logic course from Mercer University as well as a graduate level logic course from UT Austin. I received an A in both courses, as well as good feedback from my professors. I work with logic on a regular basis in my research as a professional philosopher. I offer professional, one-on-one tutoring in a huge array of academic subjects -- math, English, philosophy, the hard sciences, test prep (e.g., SAT, GRE and LSAT) and more [more]

Through my education in mathematics I have been rigorously trained in logic. I have also spent two summers TAing for Johns Hopkins CTY program in which I have taught logic to the students there. I am currently a graduate student studying mathematics and statistics at Wake Forest University. I graduated cum laude The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. I have spent time at both universities tutoring for the mathematics and statistics department. Throughout my college and high school years, I also tutored privately for pay and tutored for free [more]

I have a background in computer programming, which has logic as a fundamental underpinning. I'm familiar with logic as well, as I enrolled in a logic course in college and took analytical philosophy. As a programmer, my daily practice of having to think through abstract problems helps me to apply logic to puzzles and everyday situations. I graduated from Wofford College in 2014 with a BA in Spanish and minors in Latin American Studies and Medical Humanities. After graduation, I spent a year teaching Spanish at a private school in Atlanta and have developed as a teacher of foreign languages. In [more]
