I took and passed a college course on logic. It included everything from fallacies to categorical logic to predicate logic to statement logic to induction and probability. I?ve always had a natural gift and aptitude for teaching and working with people, and I want to share my love for math and logic with others. I believe that students can learn difficult concepts best in a one on one environment, where we can spend time on what you need. I find that specifically when learning the ?STEM? fields, people ask ?Why do we need to know this?? To a math and science tutor, this just makes me sad. Both [more]

Earned a Masters in Science in Logic at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) in the Netherlands. Did original research on applying logic to knowledge in social networks. Hi I'm Rob! I work on a data science team by day, and like helping people with Python and math on the side. I have tutored a wide range of people, from middle school students to UT professors. Love helping people get a handle on these skills because they open a lot of doors! I love helping students with math, especially in classes involving proofs. I majored in Mathematics for my BA, graduating with a 3. [more]

I have taken Formal Logic in a Philosophy Department as an undergraduate. I have taken Logic and Set Theory as a Mathematics major. I now have my PhD in pure mathematics and have taught Logic and Set Theory to other mathematics majors. I have also served as a Teaching Assistant for a Formal Logic and Set Theory course while I was a PhD student. Thanks for having a read! I emphasize to all my students that there is a difference between being smart and being educated. I want to help students of all ages realize they are smart and that they can attain their educational goals. I hold a PhD in [more]

Having taught math for nine years, covering grades 6-12, I have immersed myself in the study of logic, reasoning, and problem solving. I am also someone who loves to debate, values Socratic questioning, and has a deep appreciation for science. I have been a teacher and a tutor for 19 years, working in private and public schools in Austin, Hong Kong, Costa Rica, and New York City. I have a Master's degree in Education from Texas State and an undergraduate degree from Cornell University. I am certified to teach Mathematics 8-12 and Social Studies 8-12 in Texas. I have ample experience helpin [more]

I attended Gallaudet University in which I majored in Mathematics and minored in Philosophy. Logic was a required course to obtain the minor. I also took Advanced Logic in which I got an A. I am a proficient and native user of sign language. I have experience in teaching American Sign Language as I have taught the subject at the college level as well as have tutored so many students in the language. I have such a passion about this beautiful and expressive language as I desire to help those who truly have an interest in the language become fluent in the language with a great understanding of t [more]

I have a strong background in Digital logic and Hardware design and computer engineering.I have had academic experience and I have taught most electronic and computer science courses such as C/C++ programming, Computer Network, and etc. for college level students. I graduated in MS degree in computer engineering. I have tutored hundreds of students in computer science and engineering over the past eight years. I worked in the UTSA where I earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I love teaching students that really want to learn and have set a goal. Math, digit [more]

Over the years I have taken fundamental courses in logic. I have had taken Foundations of Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics, and Linear Algebra which all involve some type of logic. I was able to be successful in this courses so I feel I'm capable to tutor this course, logic. Courses such as Discrete Mathematics and College Algebra involve a lot of logic which I have able to handle very good and help others understand it. I have tutor before in logic and students come out having a better understanding of the subject. [more]

I received training in logic primarily through proofs in mathematics classes taken at UT-Austin. I also received some additional training from philosophy classes on symbolic logic and Godel's Incompleteness Theorem. I tutored all levels of undergraduate mathematics at UT-Austin for 7 years, through UT's Learning Skills Center. My experience includes tutoring both engineering and business calculus students, as well as students in differential equations. However, I also have helped students in pre-calculus, linear algebra, college algebra, and survey math courses outside of the sciences. [more]

I'm a PhD in Mathematics and am preparing to teach a course, including Mathematical Logic. I've already prepared this part of my course. Now, I can tutor Logic. I'm a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics, a Research Professor. I'm the CEO of Math Consulting. I taught Math, Physics, and Science at a high school. I taught at the Moscow State University, at the Institute for Theoretical & Experimental Physics in Moscow, Russia, at the University of Texas at Austin, at the University of Phoenix, at the Academy of Health Care Professions, at the ITT-tech Institute, at the Austin Communit [more]
