Logic is one of my core areas of research interest and is the area I have the most experience teaching in. I have taken numerous graduate-level courses in logic, including Modal Logic and Metalogic. I developed and taught a university-level course covering both Propositional (Sentential) and Predicate (Quantificational) Logic. I have also worked with USC faculty to develop online resources for teaching and learning introductory logic, aimed at making the material accessible to visual learners unfamiliar with formal languages. As an undergraduate student at RPI I took several courses in Logic and Argument excelling in all. I loved the material. In my Digital Electronic Design Engineering background I studied Boolean Algebra as well as Binary Logic in courses such as Fundamentals of Logic Design. As an Engineer I applied all this knowledge in my Designing of Digital Electronic Circuitry. Whether it be verbal application or electronic application I'm quite well versed and am an excellent candidate to teach you the subject matter. [more]

I graduated from UCSD with a math degree, graduating magna cum laude. One upper division course was Logic. I became a programmer, and have been using the basics of logic for over 35 years. I have great skills in debugging, and this is an exercise in logic as well. Qualifications: -BA in Math from UCSD, magna cum laude -OVER 4000 successful hours of tutoring in the last 6 years -You will not only learn the subject, you will learn to improve your ability TO study -Can debug even the most bogged student -Excellent reviews from clients attending major colleges to K-6th -I've even had studen [more]

I studied logic at Harvard with Warren Goldfarb, who wrote the standard textbook - Deductive Logic - that is used throughout Philosophy departments in the United States. I received an A in the course and a perfect score on the final examination. I continued to develop my logic skills in numerous courses in the Harvard Philosophy department, including Epistemology and Metaethics. The methodology I have learned consistently proves to be helpful in simplifying and clarifying challenging logic problems for students. [more]

I took Logic in China when I was in high school. I already have 5 years experience for logic. I like logic very much. I always use my own way to tutoring my tutee how to study logic. However, they told me my way also works for them because it is easy for them to understanding. So they got high for their class and they appreciate me a lot. They always tell me they cannot pass the class without me. I am so happy because I like to help people. My name is Jade. I recently graduate from California State University Long Beach with Bachelor Degree in Accounting. I already have five years math tutorin [more]

I've been working on proof based classes for 3 years. Logic is one of the basic foundation for higher math. I have straight A's in all my proof based classes. I currently tutor upper division math at CSUN in the math department. And I've been tutoring for 2 years now and logical arguments are always used. Hello, my name is David and I hold a Bachelor's degree in Pure and Applied Mathematics from California State University, Northridge. I am also one semester away from completing my Teaching Credential program with a Single Subject Credential in Secondary Mathematics. I want to be a math profes [more]

As a student at Amherst College, I concentrated on logic, taking classes in mathematical logic, set theory, computability theory, philosophical logic, etc. I also took graduate level classes in these areas at ETH Zurich -- the number one school for mathematics in continental Europe. I was a tutor and teaching assistant for the philosophical logic class at Amherst for two years. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in education teaching students general critical thinking skills gained by studying logic. [more]

I graduated from Harvey Mudd, a math/engineering school similar to Stanford, Caltech, and MIT. As a software engineer, having a strong foundation in logic is fundamental, and it is used every day in programming. In college, I took coursework in both Computability and Philosophical Logic, so I have experience in two slightly different but related branches. Particularly, in my philosophical logic class, I was the only person who received 100% in the class, for all assignments and exams, and I occasionally tutored people as well. Personally, however, logic exercises have been a hobby for me ev [more]
