As an Electrical Engineer I mastered logical circuit design. This includes Boolean algebra, K-Maps, and circuit design. I also took an undergraduate "Introduction to Logic" course in college on how to diagram English sentances and paragraphs, then proove if the logic was sound or not. I got an 'A'. I have tutored hundreds of students in math, science, and engineering over the past 25 years. I worked in the BYU Math Lab to pay my way through college where I earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in mathematics. I have even published a book and [more]

I have taken several courses, undergraduate and graduate, that include proof logic and set theory. In Fall 2013, I completed a Symbolic Logic course that involved the proofs of over 100 theorems, and I enjoy finding unique approaches to proofs. Additionally, I taught high school Geometry for five years where I helped build foundations for logic and proof. I have five years of experience as a certified high school mathematics teacher in Texas. During those years, I taught Geometry, Pre-AP Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB, and STAAR EOC Algebra I test preparation. I've worked very close wi [more]

I studied logic for a full semester at University of Texas at Austin. While earning a Math degree at the University of Texas at Arlington and Austin including 27 more hours in Computer Science I learned & applied logic extensively. Hello, It's great to hear from you. I really enjoy tutoring and am looking forward to working with you. Whether you dislike math, have forgotten it, or simply need to brush up, I am sure I can help. A little about me- I've taught remedial math courses for Tarrant County College but tutor almost any math course from elementary school up to upper division college, [more]

I took many logic classes while I was studying for my Electrical Engineering degree and found them all very easy. My digital logic design class, for instance, and my discrete mathematics class both had a lot of logic problems and I made an A in both of those classes. I am a new tutor to this website, but I have been tutoring and helping others for years on my own. I would be happy to provide references to anyone who needs them. My love for the subject of math, physics, and teaching comes from a lifetime of studying the subjects and realizing how useful they can be in understanding everythi [more]

Before I earned my MBA, I was computer programmer. My company used mostly PHP and SQL. Its fairly difficult to code with understanding logic as code is a logical artifact computer software must process. My undergrad degree is in computer science engineering in which I had to take multiple coding classes. In fact, in the last coding class I took, I gained the PHP and SQL skills necessary to land the aforementioned job. Hi everyone! I have an MBA from the Simon School of Business University of Rochester and a Computer Science Engineering degree from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I'm new to [more]

I'm working on a PhD at a school which specializes in logic and set theory. I've taken a year long graduate course in the subject, and my own research frequently intersects with computability theory, a field with very close ties with logic. I've also graded for multiple logic classes in the past. I'm a graduate student working on a PhD in mathematics at UNT. As an undergrad I went from an English major to a film major to a computer engineering major before finishing with my math degree. This means that I have a lot of experience with physics, engineering, and computer science, and can easi [more]

I majored in mathematics in college. I took a discrete math course that used truth tables and we learned basic mathematical proof concepts. I made an A in the course. Furthermore, I took an Introduction to Mathematical Proof class where we learned all proof methods: direct proof, indirect proofs (by induction, contrapositive, contradiction). I also made an A in this class. My graduate coursework in economics used many proofs borrowed from Real Analysis as well. Hello, I have recently moved to the DFW area to begin my career as a quantitative analyst for a large company--and to be honest, I mis [more]

I have been working in the IT industry since 1994. As a programmer you also have to learn logic and algorithms, as it is the base of programming. Throughout my career I have resolved several complex issues using the correct logic and algorithms. I can be real help in this area of study. I have done my BS from the University of Karachi with majors in Physics, Mathematics and Statistics. My second degree is a Bachelors of Engineering degree from NED University of Engineering and Technology in Electronics. My third degree is a Masters in Information systems from New Jersey Institute of Technolog [more]

Along with my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, I also minored in Philosophy. Both subjects required multiple classes in which either focused on logic, or dealt with it as part of the curriculum. I feel very capable in my abilities and understanding of logic in a the world of Mathematics and Philosophy, and would even go as far to say that Symbolic Logic was my favorite class of my undergraduate studies. Hello Students and/or Parents! My name is Allyssa and I am a 28-year-old recent graduate of TWU. I have just finished a Master's Degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in Statistics and I [more]
