I teach a class at Livingstone College that contains a chapter on Logic. I have taught this class for two consecutive semesters. I have also taken numerous logic classes in college. I have a love for all mathematics and love to help students succeed. I have a BS and MA in Mathematics Education. I also have an MA in Instructional Technology. I love to teach and I love mathematics. I have spent most of my teaching career teaching students who do not have a love for mathematics. However, I enjoy the challenge of helping students get over the anxiety and overcoming past negative educational e [more]

I have been teaching college Mathematics at the Forsyth Tech Community College. The classes I taught included the Mat140 course which in turn included a section on logic. Logic is in fact my favorite part of Mathematics as in my opinion it expands the mind and teaches skills that have limitless applications. I was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, and have lived in USA for over 14 years. Writing has always been my passion but I also hold a Masters degree in Mathematics from St. Petersburg State University and certificate in Business Administration from St. Petersburg' Institute of Eco [more]

I have a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of South Florida. I have taught multi-subject courses that include logic (such as Topics in Mathematics) at Hillsborough Community College, where I taught from 2002 to 2015. I have also taught formal logic as part of a Critical Thinking course for Colorado Technical University, where I currently teach online. I enjoy teaching and tutoring mathematics and I love to see my students succeed! With many years of experience teaching both in the classroom and tutoring, I know how students think. I help students understand the concepts and [more]

I have tutored logic for nine years with homeschool classes. I have used both Traditional Logic I and II and Introductory and Intermediate Logic. Both of these curricula are used in both public and private school systems. Traditional Logic I is an introduction to Formal Logic. It is a study of the classical syllogism and formal fallacies. Traditional Logic trains the mind to respect truth. It is a High school level text book. Traditional Logic II is Advanced Formal Logic. It is also a High school level text book. It continues the study of deductive inference with the treatment of fi [more]

I have a background in computer programming, which has logic as a fundamental underpinning. I'm familiar with logic as well, as I enrolled in a logic course in college and took analytical philosophy. As a programmer, my daily practice of having to think through abstract problems helps me to apply logic to puzzles and everyday situations. I graduated from Wofford College in 2014 with a BA in Spanish and minors in Latin American Studies and Medical Humanities. After graduation, I spent a year teaching Spanish at a private school in Atlanta and have developed as a teacher of foreign languages. In [more]

As part of my graduate work I have completed two math courses designed to enhance my knowledge of math theory. While completing these courses (algebraic structures and analysis), I have become proficient at morphing logic and set theory to successfully form mathematical arguments. I am very confident I would be able to tutor high school students in the use of logic. I have extensive experience with students grades 6-12. During 15 years of teaching I have instructed 6th grade mathematics, 7th grade mathematics, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Precalculus (Trigonometry) and Calculus. In addit [more]

I am a certified high school math teacher with three years of experience teaching Logic with an emphasis on Boolean Algebra. I studied Logic in college with the Applied Mathematics department for four years. In addition, I have tutored Logic topics for six years. I am a certified high school math teacher from the Southside Virginia area with a passion for educating young minds for a brighter future. I have been teaching for three years and tutoring for six years. I graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in Mathematics in 2015 and I am currently completing my M.S. in Mathematic [more]

I have an extensive quantitative background, including numerous methods, mathematics, and deductive logic courses. I am a PhD candidate at UNC, one of the best Political Science programs in the country (top 10). Currently I am working on my dissertation, and teaching undergraduate classes. At UNC I was a sole instructor for Introduction to U.S. government (Fall 2017), and Quantitative Research in Political Science (Spring 2018). The latter course introduces statistics, data science, and programming in R for social science research. I also have been teaching SAT and GRE courses (all sections) f [more]

Through my education in mathematics I have been rigorously trained in logic. I have also spent two summers TAing for Johns Hopkins CTY program in which I have taught logic to the students there. I am currently a graduate student studying mathematics and statistics at Wake Forest University. I graduated cum laude The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. I have spent time at both universities tutoring for the mathematics and statistics department. Throughout my college and high school years, I also tutored privately for pay and tutored for free [more]
