I studied mathematical logic with Gerald Sachs at M.I.T. I took every mathematical logic class offered at Harvard and M.I.T. These include Recursion Theory, Set Theory, Model Theory, and Higher Recursion Theory. In each class, the grade of A was received. Books studies include Enderton's "A Mathematical Introduction to Logic" and Hodges' "A Shorter Model Theory." I taught mathematical logic in the philosophy department at UGA. I studied mathematics at M.I.T. for many years. I came to Georgia to get a doctorate in philosophy. I have been teaching and tutoring for a decade at various colleges [more]

I taught approximately twelve classes in symbolic logic and critical thinking while a graduate student at the University of Georgia, and symbolic logic was my special area of study while a philosophy major. The topic of my Master's thesis concerned C.S. Peirce's Existential Graphs (a graphical logic system that looks something like Venn diagrams). I have tutored symbolic logic since 1986. I have been tutoring both high school and college students for 30 years. As a graduate student at UGA, I taught symbolic logic four times. Between 2009-2017 I tutored student athletes at UGA and upper and m [more]

As part of my undergraduate math degree, I studied a fair amount of theory. Also, while learning mathematic theory, I was privileged enough to tutor different levels of logic. I continued my logic and theory education in my two years of graduate school. That teacher that you can't quite understand? The book that doesn't tell you enough of what you need to solve a problem? That's not me. I've been there. Late nights, coffee, office hours, the works. I was a student in the math program struggling to get my bachelor's degree. Then, I spent two more years going for my master's, meaning even longer [more]

I completed high school and college level Logic classes with a 98% average in college. I tutored Logic for the University of South Carolina officially for two semesters my sophomore year in their Supplemental Instruction program. This program had tutors assigned to a professor and attend their classes and hold three tutoring sessions outside class for the students that covered material for that week. Hi, I'm Canon! I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in Advertising and a minor in media arts. While in college, I found that for myself and for the students I [more]

I have earned an "A" grade in all 4 college courses in logic that I have taken. The four courses include Critical Thinking, Proof Structures, Discrete Mathematics, and Introduction to Advanced Mathematics. All included truth tables, fallacies, logical connectives, set theory, proofs, recursion, logical connectors, conditional and compound statements, relations, functions, tautologies, contradictions, and logical equivalences. Hi, I am a recent college graduate from Berry College with a BS in Mathematics and a minor in Business Administration. I started working at the UGA Science Library in Jun [more]

At Morehouse I aced my Set Theory/Logic class. Therefore, there is no doubt in me that I can tutor this class without and problems. I have worked in the school community for over five years and I have worked in all avenues of education. I have successfully completed my math content GACE exams, which make a highly qualified teacher for 6-12 grade mathematics. I have taught all levels of mathematics, starting from the elementary level all the way to the college.I have successfully assisted in curriculum development and professional development among my colleagues. In my work as a math teacher [more]

I have a math degree (with a minor in physics) and a computer science degree. I have taken electronic courses with the Army, Georgia Tech, Savannah State, and University of California at Santa Barbara. I spent 20 years as a software engineer. All of these fields require a basic knowledge of logic. One of the courses I took was an electrical engineering course entitled Switching Theory which has a heavy dose of logic as part of the course. Additionally, I have taught Digital Electronics on the Technical College level [more]

I currently serve in a math tutoring position at a college where I assist undergraduate students in Math 140 and abstract math both of which are math courses where Logic is taught. I assist students in the understanding and comprehension of these topics through the assistance of study guides and worksheets, that I personally create. I completed college level courses in this topic and received A's. I feel I have a broad understanding of the topic and feel confident that I am able to break it down to a level where a lay person is able to relate to it. [more]

I got a 101 in my college logic class this semester. I'll be happy to help. I tutored the other students in my class when taking the course. In multiple math classes that I have taken, each has a logic component that I always did well in. I have tutored many of these classes and specialize in truth tables and logical proofs. My name is Chelsea and I am returning to Altanta from the Anniston, AL area. With my bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Wesleyan College and brief experience as a high school math teacher, I am confident that I can help with all of your math needs. Looking forward to [more]

I have spent the past 20 years designing and building computerized decision support systems. These systems are a combination of production rule systems, logic trees, and logical graphs (cyclic and acyclic). I have taught decision making at the graduate level to informatics students. I have also studied analog and digital circuit design. I have more than 20 years experience working in engineering and informatics specializing in mathematical modeling, knowledge engineering, data/information modeling, ontologies, programming, and databases. I have spent the past 20 years designing and build [more]
