I graduated from WVSU in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in secondary education with an emphasis on mathematics. Throughout my coursework, I took multiple classes in which logic played a huge component. I have also taught logic at the high school level over the course of the past 10 years. I've been a certified secondary math teacher for more than 11 years in the Kanawha County Schools system in West Virginia and Berkeley County School District here in South Carolina. I have taught subjects ranging from Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus as well as Common Core Math I and Math II. I [more]

As part of my undergraduate math degree, I studied a fair amount of theory. Also, while learning mathematic theory, I was privileged enough to tutor different levels of logic. I continued my logic and theory education in my two years of graduate school. That teacher that you can't quite understand? The book that doesn't tell you enough of what you need to solve a problem? That's not me. I've been there. Late nights, coffee, office hours, the works. I was a student in the math program struggling to get my bachelor's degree. Then, I spent two more years going for my master's, meaning even longer [more]

I have a math degree (with a minor in physics) and a computer science degree. I have taken electronic courses with the Army, Georgia Tech, Savannah State, and University of California at Santa Barbara. I spent 20 years as a software engineer. All of these fields require a basic knowledge of logic. One of the courses I took was an electrical engineering course entitled Switching Theory which has a heavy dose of logic as part of the course. Additionally, I have taught Digital Electronics on the Technical College level [more]

I have a University degree with BS in Mathematics and Logic. I specialized in the normative study of reasoning as applied to the fields of Mathematics and Computer Science. I am qualified to teach the use of Logic as valid reasoning for any activity. I am a holder of BS, MCP, MSE, IEEE and University degrees with double major in MATH and Electron Physics from Roosevelt University of Chicago and have completed 26 credit-hour postgraduate work in Mathematics, Electron Physics and Electronics at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. I have received an official Status of Eligibility to te [more]

I have taken course that directly and indirectly focus on Logic, namely General Logic and Discrete Structures. I also have to have a firm understanding of logic, to write correct algorithms. This all allows me to be able to explain this subject in a clear and applicable way. I graduated from Vanderbilt University majoring in Computer Science and minoring in German. I have taken multiple courses using C++ including, but not limited to Data Structures and Operating Systems. I have been programming in courses since high school, and have a lot of experience with C+ and Java. I also have often info [more]

My background as a Philosophy major is my overwhelming qualification for tutoring in this course. In addition, I won an award for being the best philosophy student the year I graduated. While logic is not strict philosophy it is the grounding for philosophic principles and the building blocks for a good argument. As a college composition instructor I frequently use tools from logic as I instruct my students how to best develop an argument. I have a PhD from Trinity College Dublin with a completed dissertation on Shakespeare. Beyond my research, I also have sevens years experience teaching at u [more]
