My first major in college for one year was Philosophy, and I took two courses on logic. In my 20 plus years as a teacher, I have taught logic in many math classes (primarily algebra, geometry, and trigonometry). I also incorporated logic into humanity courses I taught, especially when I taught students to write research papers in English, social science, and history classes. I teach exclusively one-on-one, and specialize in homebound students. I have been a teacher from 1969 to the present day, sometimes full-time and sometimes part-time. I cover a wide range of subjects, including but not [more]

-- I was lucky enough to spend extended time studying under the great African philosopher and logician Kwasi Wiredu. -- I've worked as a logic professor at three different post-secondary schools and many students tell me that, although it was scary at first, I made logic their favorite subject of the semester and that I'm their favorite teacher. -- Outside of the classroom, I've led a number of independent study passion projects related to symbolic logic. (Yes, there are people who are passionate about symbolic logic. It's actually not as cold a subject as most people think.) -- I'm a sup [more]

I've successfully completed upper division college coursework in Foundations of Mathematics, a logic course which often begins with truth tables and advances rapidly into formal mathematical proof. For several years, I have tutored individuals and offered small group, supplemental instruction to students enrolled in a variety of logic courses. I have been tutoring high school and college students as well as adult learners for over a decade. Typically, I find that most students, even those who claim not to be ?math people,? have the skill and ability necessary to be successful, but they often [more]

I teach College Mathematics, as well as many other Math courses at a University. Logic is one of the main focuses in College Math. Objectives include building truth tables and proving an argument's validity. I teach and tutor for statistics and math courses. My skills are in breaking the concepts down to a level that can be understood by just about anyone, no matter their prerequisite knowledge. I have taught at various colleges in Florida, teaching and tutoring students of various backgrounds, skill levels and ages. I have a Master's degree in Operations Research (an applied math) and a Ba [more]

I hold a PhD in Mathematics with a specialty in formal language theory. As such, mastery of math fundamentals (I.e., logic) was integral to accomplishing my degree. I was also the "go-to" tutor at NetTutor for logic and other Discrete areas for many years. I have tutored math in college, in homes, and online for over 20 years. I hold a PhD, graduated magna cum laude with a GPA of 3.76, and mentored undergrads on their math projects. I have taught and tutored students who passed with high grades in Basic Math, Intermediate Algebra, Algebra I & II, Finite Math, Math for Liberal Arts, Precalc [more]

I hold a bachelor's in mathematics engineering and a minor in computer science. Logic concepts and classes were part of earning my degree. I have taken many different sub-fields of logic, not just basic logic. I also have taught basic logic in my college math labs throughout Florida as I am a certified teacher as well. I can help with a logic and computer science needs. I hold a Bachelors of Mathematics & Science of Education from Tennessee Wesleyan University. Currently, I'm a certified Tutor, and Teacher. I'm Original form the Tampa Bay area and have returned to educate my fellow Floridian's [more]
