Logic is a diverse field. For different subjects, it can mean different things. In discrete math, it means deductive reasoning. In programming, it is the flow of commands. In philosophy, it is the one aspect to the study of knowledge. For the normal person, it's the idea of common sense. Regardless of the style of logic you want help with, I've seen it and helped with it and look forward to aiding you as well. I am a certified tutor with eight years of experience as a private full-time tutor, and I was a public tutor for almost one year. Tutoring is my passion in life. My specialty is advance [more]

I have had Logic as part of curriculum for both undergrad and grad requirements. I have since then tutored students in this particular subject. I have also gone through teaching workshop for logic at Jackson College where we have incorporated logic just recently as part of one of our courses last year. For the past 5 years, I have been working part-time as an adjunct math faculty member at a local community college. I have been teaching various math courses ranging from beginning algebra to pre-calculus, both online and in a classroom environment. I am a certified online instructor. Prior to t [more]

I taught symbolic logic several times while a graduate student at UC-Irvine, and also taught logic as a component of the discrete mathematics courses at Virginia Tech as a line instructor there. As a mathematician with a doctorate, I have had extensive experience using formal logic. In one capacity or another (graduate teaching assistant, university line instructor, high school teacher) I have been teaching for much of the last eleven years; my favorite part of my teaching jobs has been tutoring people one on one in office hours, where progress towards learning is much easier to see and sense. I have helped several undergraduate math, c.s., and philosophy students, as well as two philosophy PhD students, with graduate level logic, and I studied logic while obtaining my undergraduate degree. I have 15 + years of teaching and tutoring experience both at university and am the owner of a private tutoring company that has contracted with Michigan State for many years, ghost written test prep materials for large companies, and provided educational services to domestic and foreign government programs. You are welcome to split my fee with other students without additional cost. I am a f [more]

As a math professor at Massasoit Community College I teach logic as part of Math Topics 1. I am very knowledgeable of how to use truth tables. I understand converse, inverse and contrapositive forms of statements. I understand how to construct proofs using these statements and I am also familiar with set theory and number theory. Hello my name is Sean. I have been tutoring for five years now. In addition to the over 100 hours of tutoring I have logged on WyzAnt, I have also tutored on a regular basis as a Professional Tutor at Massasoit Community College in Brockton, MA. I also tutor fo [more]

I immediately tested into an undergraduate/graduate level logic course, in which I received an A, and helped other students. I also have done independent research in the field of multivalued propositional logic, using algebraic Geometry. I spent my undergraduate career working with the tutoring and academic success center at Cleveland state, and the math (only) tutoring center through the math department. I found, like many others, that it is a profoundly rewarding experience. My philosophy is simple, 'understanding is knowing what questions to ask'. Thus, you're better equipped for dealing wi [more]
