I was raised on Jesuit logic, taught to me by my Jesuit-trained mother. In addition to the lively debates of my youth, I also aced my college Logic course, and have continued to keep my wits honed with syllogistic arguments and Venn diagrams. While growing up, and as an adult, I have worked with children and adults of many ability and disability levels. My parents adopted 14 special needs children with various disabilities, and as the oldest daughter, I was there to assist them in learning life skills, scholastic skills and interpersonal skills. It was at this time I learned to implement som [more]

As an Electrical Engineer I mastered logical circuit design. This includes Boolean algebra, K-Maps, and circuit design. I also took an undergraduate "Introduction to Logic" course in college on how to diagram English sentances and paragraphs, then proove if the logic was sound or not. I got an 'A'. I have tutored hundreds of students in math, science, and engineering over the past 30 years. I worked in the BYU Math Lab to pay my way through college where I earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in mathematics. I have even published a book and [more]

I have a BA and MA in Philosophy. I took several courses in symbolic, modal, and other advanced logic topics while enrolled in these programs. I have taught both graduate and undergraduate courses in Statistics, Finance, and Economics for seven years and have tutored for both Calculus I and Calculus II, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Strategic Management, Marketing, and many others. I have a Master of Sciences in Economics and a Master of Arts in Philosophy. I can tutor in a variety of statistics and mathematics related disciplines as well as in Economics, Philosophy, and Finance. I have [more]

I studied logic for a full semester at University of Texas at Austin. While earning a Math degree at the University of Texas at Arlington and Austin including 27 more hours in Computer Science I learned & applied logic extensively. Hello, It's great to hear from you. I really enjoy tutoring and am looking forward to working with you. Whether you dislike math, have forgotten it, or simply need to brush up, I am sure I can help. A little about me- I've taught remedial math courses for Tarrant County College but tutor almost any math course from elementary school up to upper division college, [more]

Logic is normally part of my teaching system in advanced mathematics courses. Logic, tree diagrams, Logic circuits (engineering), dendrimers, and other advanced science is part of my repertoire of teaching methods. Please add this certification to my account. I have taught Logic systems for more than twenty years, including setting up one of the first comprehensive department wide computer network using logic diagrams and logical connections. I have just finished teaching three students logic sections for the SAT, GMAT, and GED. [more]

I have been an instructor at Ashford University from 2006 through 2013, in the subject of informal logic. Informal logic include subjects such as deductive and inductive reasoning, fallacies and various arguments. I have taught at the college level there for seven years. I do understand the idiosyncrasies of logic. It came under the heading of Philosophy. My name is Barri M. I have a PhD. I have been an instructor for over eight years in online and traditional University settings. I teach for five different universities across the country and hold a Biblical worldview. My father raised me with [more]

I'm working on a PhD at a school which specializes in logic and set theory. I've taken a year long graduate course in the subject, and my own research frequently intersects with computability theory, a field with very close ties with logic. I've also graded for multiple logic classes in the past. I'm a graduate student working on a PhD in mathematics at UNT. As an undergrad I went from an English major to a film major to a computer engineering major before finishing with my math degree. This means that I have a lot of experience with physics, engineering, and computer science, and can easi [more]

I took First Order Logic at Yale University and received an A in the course. I also have taken many mathematical courses which require logical reasoning. I also studied human decision-making which involves understanding rationality and logic as opposed to intuitive judgments. Thank you! I have perfect scores on the GRE Quantitative & Verbal Reasoning sections (170's), the SAT Math & Reading Sections (800's), and the SAT Math II Subject Test (800). I also have 5's on the AP BC Calculus Exam and both Physics C exams (Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism). I can help you with test prep or [more]

I majored in mathematics in college. I took a discrete math course that used truth tables and we learned basic mathematical proof concepts. I made an A in the course. Furthermore, I took an Introduction to Mathematical Proof class where we learned all proof methods: direct proof, indirect proofs (by induction, contrapositive, contradiction). I also made an A in this class. My graduate coursework in economics used many proofs borrowed from Real Analysis as well. Hello, I have recently moved to the DFW area to begin my career as a quantitative analyst for a large company--and to be honest, I mis [more]

I took many logic classes while I was studying for my Electrical Engineering degree and found them all very easy. My digital logic design class, for instance, and my discrete mathematics class both had a lot of logic problems and I made an A in both of those classes. I am a new tutor to this website, but I have been tutoring and helping others for years on my own. I would be happy to provide references to anyone who needs them. My love for the subject of math, physics, and teaching comes from a lifetime of studying the subjects and realizing how useful they can be in understanding everythi [more]
