In college I completed an independent-study course on ZF set theory and model theory, and I took two logic courses in the philosophy department. These courses covered syntax and semantics of first order logic, culminating in a proof G?del's incompleteness theorems and related results. In graduate school, I took two semesters of mathematical logic, including a semester on model theory and a semester on proof theory and recursion theory. Hi, I'm Nick. I'm a postdoctoral research fellow at a university in Israel. In May 2017 I graduated from Brandeis University with a PhD in math. My research l [more]

My career is based around logic and making arguments. A portion of the aptitude test students must take to enter into law school (LSAT), there is a "Logic Games" portion where you must solve puzzles and riddles. This was and still is my best scoring portion of the test. I now tutor students on the LSAT in logic games and would be great at helping other students with their logic problems. I grew up in a small town in Oklahoma. I graduated as a top 12 senior from Oklahoma State University and have recently graduated in the top 15% of my class at OU's College of Law. I work at a law firm doing [more]

I graduated with a philosophy degree in 1995 which included a course in Symbolic Logic. I then went on to law school where I continued my education in logical fallacies and deductive reasoning (e.g. the negative inference rule in statutory analysis). I also obtained a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science where I studied the role of inductive reasoning in website design and systems analysis and design. I tailor lesson plans to the topic being taught as well as the student's preferred learning style. Multimedia is often effective in reinforcing materials covered orally and in writi [more]

I have taken and completed a math logic course with an A. It's was one of my mathematics major degree requirements and I have used logic extensively since in the pursuit of elementary to advanced math proofs. It is a subject I have put many hours into and devoted countless sheets of paper to logical equivalence tables; as a result I feel very comfortable teaching it. Hey my name is Barton T. and I have been working as a professional tutor for three years. I am currently heading into my senior year for my mathematics degree at the University of Arkansas. I graduated high-school from ASMSA, [more]

I took First Order Logic at Yale University and received an A in the course. I also have taken many mathematical courses which require logical reasoning. I also studied human decision-making which involves understanding rationality and logic as opposed to intuitive judgments. Thank you! I have perfect scores on the GRE Quantitative & Verbal Reasoning sections (170's), the SAT Math & Reading Sections (800's), and the SAT Math II Subject Test (800). I also have 5's on the AP BC Calculus Exam and both Physics C exams (Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism). I can help you with test prep or [more]

In addition to the classical study of logic in Greece, I have excelled in many courses in mathematics and computer programming. I have programmed in Pascal the solution to a logic problem - thus demonstrating grasp of all the steps required in logic. I am an experienced and certified teacher in mathematics 7-12 and am in between teaching contracts and available for tutoring again. I have years of experience in training and tutoring. Second in my high school class in Helena-West Helena, my cumulative GPA in 200 semester hours of college work is 3.81. My passion is mathematics, and I have [more]
