I have used Mathematica while pursuing my PhD in Physics from The University of Edinburgh. Education: ? PhD in Physics from The University of Edinburgh, 2013 to Now (Thesis: Evaluation-Efficient Multidimensional Numerical Integration) ? MS in Scientific Computing from New York University, 2005 to 2007 (Thesis: Solar System Simulation with 3-D Visualization) ? BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from James Madison University, 1998 to 2002 and 2004 to 2005... [more]

I have completed a 3 hour course in Mathematica (focusing primarily on numerical methods). I have also completed another 9 hours of classes that use Mathematica for assignments. I have also tutored graduate students in writing and debugging Mathematica code. American culture has a hang-up about math. Many believe success in mathematics centers on talent, but in fact (and there is research to show this) motivation and effort are really the keys to success. Learning math is akin to learning a language and essentially everybody learns at least one language fluently. In the case of math, it is the [more]

I have used Mathematica for over three years. I feel quite comfortable solving advanced problems with it and using its features. I am a rising second year at the University of Virginia. I graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST) in 2018. I graduated with a 4.35 GPA. I received an A in every AP class I took and an A in every computer science class I took. I scored a 1520 on the SAT and feel very comfortable teaching the SAT. I consider myself an outstanding tutor and my students have achieved great results. I believe in thoroughly and clearly explaining t [more]
