I was a grader and teaching assistant for a graduate level computational physics course at Purdue University. The class was taught using MATLAB and the majority of the students used MATLAB for all of their exercises and assignments. I have a lot of experience helping students familiar with programming in a language like C or Java who tend to avoid using the built-in features of MATLAB that make it so convenient for numerical work. I've used MATLAB myself for projects in several courses. I am currently an Adjunct Instructor at Ivy Tech Lafayette and Harrison College. I teach a variety of introd [more]

As an experimental psychologist and cognitive neuroscientist, I run experiments to understand how people behave and think. In these experiments, MATLAB has been my primary tool for data analysis, data visualization, and stimulus generation and presentation. I'm pretty good at programming, and I know where to look when I come across something I've never done before! Hi, I'm Phil. I know how frustrating it can be when you don't understand something. I've felt it myself every day working as a research scientist at Vanderbilt University, tackling some really difficult problems. I have also seen it [more]

I have taught Matlab to the undergraduates in the University of Illinois as part of an introductory computer science course. I have also extensively used it for my research during both my Masters and Phd. Finally, I have used it for work related purposes in optimization, drawing complicated 2 or 3 dimensional graphs and many other applications. I have taught Economics, Finance, Math, and Stat courses in UIUC and ISU. I am a PhD candidate with two Masters degrees in Economics and Finance. My work experience includes consulting, asset pricing, and stock market analysis. I have gotten perfect sc [more]

While in university, I had several courses requiring the use of MATLAB to complete assignments. After I graduated, I was hired as a signal processing engineer, where I extensively developed MATLAB applications. I am a graduate of Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. I am familiar with the struggles and difficulties encountered in the areas of math and science. My tutoring experience stems from friends who were having difficulties in math and science coming to me for help. I am patient and come up with unique ways to explain difficult concepts. I [more]

I have been tutoring MATLAB programming for 15 years. Many of the students I have tutored were engineering majors at the University of Tennessee. At the University of Tennessee, as well as at most colleges, MATLAB is the language that homework assignments given to engineering majors, that require a computer program, are usually done in. Due to this I have a great deal of experience in teaching MATLAB programming. Also, I use MATLAB on a regular basis for much of my own programming and have a considerable amount of knowledge about using the more advanced features of MATLAB. MATLAB is considere [more]

I have tutored MATLAB at Vanderbilt University. I understand the basic functions as well as the more advanced features with MATLAB such as data tracing. I feel confident I can assist anyone in this subject. My Motto: With each concept I did not know, there?s always a journey. Even if I don't know something, I will strive to learn it. This motto has proven to be very invaluable? even early on throughout high school as I received a full academic scholarship to a well respected and prestigious university. It's an important quality for someone to know a lot, but I find that the most important qu [more]

I have experience in MATLAB language because I have been programming in MATLAB for 5 years. As an electrical engineer, I used MATLAB in Signal Processing, Linear and non-linear control system, Power Generation with FEMM, Circuit Analysis, RF projects, Biomedical Imaging, Digital and Analog Signal Processing. I have been using it with FEMM in other project for computations in Machine Design Projects. I am Wendy Sagesse, and i am from Haiti. I moved in the US since 2008 following to my second year attending Haiti State University in the pursuit of my Electrical Engineering degree. Since I moved [more]

I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. MATLAB is the cornerstone of numerical analysis for many mechanical engineers. I have experience with numerical modeling, eigenvalues, modal analysis, Simulink, dynamic modeling of physical systems, particle image velocimetry cross-correlations, and digital image correlation techniques. There's many different types of problems that can be solved using MATLAB that I can't cover in a single paragraph. Even if you want to know the basics such as variables, functions, and workflow, I can help with that. [more]

During my undergraduate engineering education, I took several classes that required proficient use of MATLAB. During group projects involving modelling/ODEs, I was always responsible for the code, both producing it and ensuring my teammates understood the mechanics. Moreover, I've used it for external projects and personal tinkering. I am proficient in other programming languages as well, and so I quickly understood concepts of programming in MATLAB. I graduated in 2009 from Centerville High School as Salutatorian. I received the Eli Lilly full tuition scholarship and studied Mechanical [more]
