MATLAB is the primary programming resource used by my university's physics program. As a result, I have used it a great deal, both as a basic mathematical tool and for more complex physical system modelling and signal analysis. I would a good match for beginning students, but perhaps not for those with years of experience in other languages. Tutoring is an act of observation. It succeeds where normal instruction fails because it is geared toward a student's particular strengths. My best experiences as a tutor have been with the students who needed me most, learning how they needed to learn [more]

I spent 5 semesters as a Graduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley teaching introductory level MATLAB programming. My tasks included developing programming assignments, creation of exam questions, and teaching discussion sections and review sections. I spent significant amounts of time working with students, guiding them through the processes of problem solving, code-writing, debugging, and solidifying concepts. Solving complicated problems in Matlab is something I greatly enjoy, and I hope to share that joy with you! [more]

I have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University. During all my courses, I have extensively used Matlab as the primary tool for writing algorithms. Professionally, I use Matlab on daily basis at work. Overall, I have more than 15 years of using Matlab. I have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University. I have been employed in the tech industry in the bay area for over 10 years. I have a technical background with emphasis in Problem solving and Math. I have used this knowledge to develop algorithms related to human speech, aud [more]

My undergraduate degree is Engineering Science which requires using MATLAB for many courses... For my graduate work, I have used MATLAB for research and have also been the Teaching Assistant for courses require MATLAB. I am new to Wyzant but have been tutoring for over ten years. I have a PhD from Cornell in Applied Physics and work in industry now. I am proficient in a number of computer programming languages, including Python, and Matlab. I have used the majority of these languages to simulate and solve problems in digital signal processing and communications. I have also completed sever [more]

I took atleast one course each semester as an applied math undergrad and graduate student that involved use of MATLAB to model a solution or to code an algorithm. For example: Numerical Analysis 1 and 2 both involved numerical integration, differentiation and solutions to PDEs in MATLAB. Other such courses that involved heavy coding were: numerical linear alegebra, numerics, a Matlab specific coding course, radial basis functions, and many more. In high school I loved science, math, debate and music; I studied Applied Mathematics in college. I just finished my Masters and I'm gearing up to [more]

I am proficient in MATLAB programming and have experience teaching it. Before switching to Python, I used MATLAB as my primary programming language for more than 8 years. I am a Data Scientist (Machine Learning Architect). I received my PhD in Bioengineering from UC-Berkeley/UCSF (jointly) and have BS and MS degrees in electrical and control engineering. I offer tutoring and homework/project help for undergrad and grad level courses in areas such as math, statistics, data science (machine learning, deep learning, big data, etc). I have a full time job and don't depend on tutoring income. Con [more]

I have been programming for about 9 years with 6 years of MatLab experience. I am currently employed as a researcher where a large portion of my job is MatLab programming. I have a PhD and a Bachelors degree in chemistry. I am currently employed as a nanoscience engineer in Silicon Valley. I was previously a science researcher for an Ivy League university. I also have a background in scientific education. I have served as an instructor and/or teaching assistant for college- and graduate-level general, physical, and analytical chemistry courses. I have also served as a tutor for high school [more]

I have more than 8 years of experience on programming in MATLAB and Simulink. I use MATLAB every day in my work and when teaching different classes. MATLAB is a powerful tool which allows complex calculations, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, and creation of user interfaces. I am currently using MATLAB for simulating communication systems, solving optimization problems, signal and image processing, and analyzing raw data. As an Electrical Engineer in the Wireless industry, I specialize in different programming languages such as Python, C, C++, and JavaScript. I am [more]

For the past year, I have working a biology lab where we write our own data analysis scripts in MATLAB. As a result, I have learned MATLAB and code complex analysis programs with it frequently. We specialize in cell imaging analysis, and I have researched a great deal of MATLAB to be successful at my internship. I have been a math and science tutor, both paid and as a volunteer, for the past five years. I have taken a large amount of math and science courses because I am so passionate about these subjects, and I want to tutor so I can help students find their passion in these subjects too. I have taught signal processing and robotics with Matlab and Ec1010 at NPS for several years, since 2004. I use simulink and Matlab for my DSP (digital signalling processing) courses to study frequency shift key, phase shift and OFDM modem signalling. My students and I write M code and use Simulink modules for Lego Mindstorms. SE 4003 uses Matlab, simulink and Lab view G for Software Systems labs. I teach STEM high school, community college and graduate Science, Technology*, Engineering and Mathematics subjects. I also teach Digital and analog signal processing for cellular and satellite commu [more]
