In my job as a mechanical engineer, I use MATLAB daily. In addition to performing calculations--both simple and complex--I have developed half a dozen complete applications with graphical user interfaces. These applications have used various MATLAB toolboxes, including the image processing toolbox and database toolbox. Hello! I graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania in May of 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in math. In high school I was a national merit finalist and scored a perfect 1600 on my SAT. I took the [more]

I have been using MATLAB in my computational ecology research for 3+ years as a PhD student at the University of Arizona. I specialize in non-standard numerical issues relating to ordinary differential equation solvers such as ode45, ode23, and ode15s. Throughout my math and ecology Bachelor of Science degrees at the University of Kansas (where I graduated magna cum laude) and through the first year of my PhD program in Applied Math/Computational Ecology at the University of Arizona, I have enjoyed tutoring math and biology. I have five years of experience in tutoring early algebra to upper-le [more]

MATLAB was used in at least half a dozen courses in my undergrad. It was used in Computer Methods, Intro to Engineering Methods, Intro to Finite Element Method, Ordinary Differential Equations and others. I also used MATLAB in my research as a graduate student. I am a Civil Engineering graduate student and research assistant at Carnegie Mellon University. I have years of experience, both as a tutor and as a teaching assistant, helping undergraduates with their homework and understanding their lectures. I've also guest lectured for professors. All of these experiences have helped me understand [more]

I have developed two iOS applications and have been involved in several other software projects. I have experience in C, Objective-C, MATLAB, Macro Express, and TradeStation's EasyLanguage, as well as limited experience in several other programming languages. Much of my work has been in MATLAB's Simulink/Stateflow and the code generation process. Currently, I am a student at the University of Michigan's College of Engineering. I received a B.S.E. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan's College of Engineering and currently work as a software developer for a trading company in Chi [more]

I used Matlab daily during my Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. I used it in my research for modeling and simulation. Additionally, I utilized in in several courses that I took in undergraduate and graduate school. I'm Sarah! I earned two degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign: a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering followed by an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. One of the most rewarding experiences I had in undergrad was being a Course Assistant for a 2nd year engineering course. I facilitated group learning in discussion sections, held office hours that focused on o [more]

MatLab is a computer software program using the general syntaxing of both C and Java. MatLab allows one the ability to either write the code for the problem at hand or to use built-in programs that can assist to get the calculation complete. It is extremely helpful for both matrices and graphing. I have had many experiences programming in MatLAb using both user-written as well as internal-progs and even combining these 2 items into a streamline matLab computer program. I also know both C and Java and can therefore implement programs reasonably efficiently. I also studied this area in the a [more]

I learned a lot about MATLAB because so many of the courses I took to earn my engineering physics degree involved labs which required the students to use MATLAB. I used MATLAB/Simulink for two different controls theory courses and MATLAB with the signal processing toolkit for DSP courses, MATLAB for biomedical image processing course, and used MATLAB for an antenna theory and design course. Since completing my degree, I also used MATLAB for a quadrotor autonomous flight control MOOC. (I am also aware of several other reasonable alternatives for certain tasks students may not realize they ha [more]

I have used matlab when I was finishing my dissertation for my Ph.d in electrical engineering. Also I tutored my son in using Matlab in his calculus 1 class. If it is for calculus it is pretty simple to use but students have to know how to solve problems before inputting the information so the problem is not the software as much as it is knowing calculus itself. I am a current math and physics teacher and a part-time college professor. I consider myself an expert in what I teach and tutor and care that my students achieve success. As I tutor I also counsel my students on their education choice [more]

In my undergraduate I worked on a project which required me to solve wave equation using finite-difference method (Numerical method). I wrote a code in matlab to see how the wave evolve in time given the initial condition. I use matlab for plotting my equations, fitting my data. I also have strong knowledge of C/C++. Hello guys! My name is Amit. Currently, I am a Research Assistant at Wayne State University (WSU). I do research in Particle Physics. I also teach General Physics Laboratory and Astronomy Laboratory to undergraduate students at Wayne State University. I recently joined WSU in Augu [more]
