MATLAB is the primary programming resource used by my university's physics program. As a result, I have used it a great deal, both as a basic mathematical tool and for more complex physical system modelling and signal analysis. I would a good match for beginning students, but perhaps not for those with years of experience in other languages. Tutoring is an act of observation. It succeeds where normal instruction fails because it is geared toward a student's particular strengths. My best experiences as a tutor have been with the students who needed me most, learning how they needed to learn [more]

In my MATLAB class we were required to do various projects, as well as complete weekly homework. In addition, in my Linear Algebra class, we had weekly MATLAB homework, as well as were tested on MATLAB commands and applications. I received an A in both classes. I am a Biomedical Engineering tutor at UC Davis. I volunteered for 1.5 years at the Women's Resources and Research Center at UC Davis where I tutored math and chemistry. Because learning is predominantly based on trial and error, I prefer using a step by step approach in order to identify possible errors or mistakes. I am excited to hel [more]

I took atleast one course each semester as an applied math undergrad and graduate student that involved use of MATLAB to model a solution or to code an algorithm. For example: Numerical Analysis 1 and 2 both involved numerical integration, differentiation and solutions to PDEs in MATLAB. Other such courses that involved heavy coding were: numerical linear alegebra, numerics, a Matlab specific coding course, radial basis functions, and many more. In high school I loved science, math, debate and music; I studied Applied Mathematics in college. I just finished my Masters and I'm gearing up to [more]

I am proficient in MATLAB programming and have experience teaching it. Before switching to Python, I used MATLAB as my primary programming language for more than 8 years. I am a Data Scientist (Machine Learning Architect). I received my PhD in Bioengineering from UC-Berkeley/UCSF (jointly) and have BS and MS degrees in electrical and control engineering. I offer tutoring and homework/project help for undergrad and grad level courses in areas such as math, statistics, data science (machine learning, data mining, etc). I have a full time job and don't depend on tutoring income. Consequently, I [more]

I have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University. During all my courses, I have extensively used Matlab as the primary tool for writing algorithms. Professionally, I use Matlab on daily basis at work. Overall, I have more than 15 years of using Matlab. I have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University. I have been employed in the tech industry in the bay area for over 10 years. I have a technical background with emphasis in Problem solving and Math. I have used this knowledge to develop algorithms related to human speech, aud [more]

I have taken an introductory MATLAB course at Ohlone College and a MATLAB course at the University of California, San Diego earning both A grades. As an undergraduate research assistant at the UCSD, I apply MATLAB concepts to research (Simulink, Image Processing), numerical methods and analysis (approximating solutions to numerical problems), and for computing complex arithmetic problems (matrices and differential equation solutions, surf plots, 2D graph plots, etc). As a tutor, I am comfortable explaining to students the following concepts: command window, script errors, fprintf/disp commands [more]

I have 10 years of experience working MATLAB. I use MATLAB for simple mathematical procedures, to complex numerical modeling ans simulation and software development using its GUI generator. I have been the MATLAB teaching assistant at UC Riverside. I went to UC Riverside for my PhD in mechanical engineering, my daytime job is at California Environmental Protection Agency as a research scientist and engineer. During high school I was part of International Physics Olympiad competition and I received medal of honor at the national level. My vigorous interest in teaching comes from my own positiv [more]

During my graduate student career at UC Berkeley, I spent 5 semesters as a Graduate Student Instructor teaching introductory level MATLAB programming. My tasks included developing programming assignments, creation of exam questions, and teaching discussion sections and review sections. I also spent significant time working with students, guiding them through the processes of problem solving, code-writing, debugging, and solidifying concepts. Hello! I recently finished my PhD in Civil & Environmental Engineering at UC Berkeley. While at Cal, I was a Graduate Student Instructor for classes ran [more]

I instructed a lab course for undergraduate students in Matlab for 2 years. I have used Matlab professionally for more than 5 years. I currently use Matlab in my daily work. I am excited to share knowledge with others and help students reach their own learning breakthroughs. I hold PhD in computer science and have more than 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring students with a variety of skill levels (from students in elementary school to graduate students to professionals). It is important to me that each student encounters the material in a format this is suitable to the student's l [more]
