During my time at RPI I used MATLAB in a number of different courses. In one course I used MATLAB as a tool to help with electronic signal analysis. I also worked with a group to take an open source MATLAB facial recognition tool and add clustering around medoid analysis to improve results. This was all on top of the basic use of MATLAB to help with matrix manipulation and multiplication in our statics course. I'm Jeff! I graduated from RPI with my Bachelors and Masters in Computer and Systems Engineering. One of the most important thing I learned at RPI was how to quickly pick up a new skill. [more]

I've been programming in MatLab since 1997. In fact, these days, besides some scripting languages and the occasional Excel, I only program in MatLab. Very familiar with the mapping and statistics toolboxes among others. If you are looking for someone to help you where others have failed, or if you just want the best, then I'm definitely your tutor. Key focus must be on the student overcoming any mental barriers he/she may have to understanding the subjects. I teach concepts first and test taking second. If you know the concepts, the test results follow, but test taking strategies are also [more]

I have used MATLAB for over 15 years, professionally and academically. I spent over a decade at MathWorks, a technical computing company that makes software for scientific and engineering application. It was my first job after graduating from dual M.S program 14 years ago. I spent most recent years as Senior Software Architect/Developer in Test, developing test software infrastructure, tools and framework. My work involved a lot of software design and extensive programming on a daily basis. As a manager, and being a part of the team that is responsible for d... [more]

I have been programming for around four years (one full year of coursework, three research based), and MATLAB is the primary language used in my PhD research. I have two bachelor's degrees, one in Applied Mathematics and one in Earth Science. I am currently attending Brown university to obtain a PhD in Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences with a focus in oceanography. For mathematics, my strengths are in calculus, linear algebra and ODE/PDE. For earth science, I generally focus on global climate and weather as well as physical oceanography. My experience in these courses has been deve [more]

I have a Master's in Electrical Engineering which is math, physics, and logic intensive. I also have a BS, which required learning computer programming in general. I have more than 10 years of using Matlab in industry. I taught Matlab. I wrote complex programs and built user interfaces. I know who to use Matlab as a programming tool as well as a tool from their user interface. I have experience teaching for more than 30 years part time as I worked full time applying what I teach in industry. I have a Master's in Electrical Engineering which is math, physics, and logic intensive. I also have [more]

I used MATLAB for internships at KAIST and UMAss Lowell. I am currently using MATLAB for research in a lab at my college. I also took courses in Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 that are completely MATLAB based. Hi, I'm currently studying Cognitive Science and Computer Science at Brown University. I taught math (SAT, pre algebra, algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, AMC) in high school for three years and Spanish for one year. Although math is my strongest area of expertise, I also have been using MATLAB for work and study for a while and can definitely tutor for that subject as well. I worked as part of [more]

I have worked as a data analyst for multiple research projects, all of which were exclusively in MATLAB. I have also have experience tutoring MATLAB for engineering courses. Hi there! I have over 3 years of experience teaching and tutoring math and science and I recently earned my B.S. in math from MIT. I think numbers are pretty awesome and I love when I can convince someone else to think so, too. My favorite subjects are calculus, stats, cs algorithms, and Newtonian physics. =) Experience: - 4 semesters experience as a TA / tutor for classical mechanics - 2 semesters experience as a TA / t [more]

I am a physics Ph.D. candidate. My research and experience are in the field of computational and statistical physics and I have 10 years of MATLAB programming experience. I am a Physics Ph.D. candidate at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I have nine years of experience teaching physics to high school students, undergraduates, and graduate students. I also have three years of teaching assistantship experience at Umass Amherst and Brandeis University, teaching introductory physics courses for engineering and life science majors. My students have an average letter grade improvement after [more]

I received an A in Introduction to Matlab during college, and have been applying Matlab skills to both educational and professional projects since. While working at an international biomedical engineering company for two years, I used Matlab as the foundation of a set of automated characterization tests for an imaging technology under development. This required controlling motors, reading in data, performing calculations on data, and presenting data. I also spent two weeks helping high school students learn how to use Matlab to conduct electrical engineering laboratory experiments. [more]

For 5 semesters I was a Teaching Assistant for Cornell's Introduction to MATLAB course, which I took myself as a freshman. That course taught applications ranging from introductory topics (scripts, functions, conditional statements, for/while loops, vector/matrix operations) to more advanced material (image/video/sound processing, text file processing, recursion, sorting and searching algorithms, object oriented programming). As a TA I regularly interacted with students during computer lab sessions and during office hours to provide individual assistance. I later took advanced courses on MATL [more]
