I have taught this course over the years of teaching and have tutored in its main subjects(Physics and Chemistry). This subject is one of my favorite because it highlights the more interesting aspects of science. Right after graduating from college with a degree in Junior High Science teaching, I taught high school science for ten years; which included the following subject areas: Physical Science, General Science, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Human Anatomy and Physiology. I enjoyed lesson preparation and providing hands-on activities to help students [more]

I taught science at Lincoln East High School for 13 years. I have taught biology, earth science, physical science, and animal behavior. I also taught a study skills class where I helped students with all their subjects including algebra, Spanish, and history. The best part about being a teacher is showing students how to use their book, a teacher's website, and even the internet as a way of learning about a subject. You can master any class if you have your study skills perfected. Lear... [more]

On a part time basis, I helped college students in Statistics, College Algebra, Science Projects, and GMAT/GRE prep. A very important aspect of teaching that is often overlooked is the ability to kindle a student's interest in a subject. Using t... [more]

With my education background in physics, I had the opportunity to observe several high school physical science lectures. Also, lots of hands-on experience in working with science students, whether it is one-on-one tutoring or judging various science fairs. As far as my coursework, have a doctorate in physics, my research was in atomic physics, which greatly overlapped with chemistry, and my college introductory biology course brought me up to speed in that area as well. Then there are courses I took while enrolled in teacher's college, including geology, meteorology, & astronomy. [more]
