I received my Bachelors of Science in Physics from UCI, since that time I have been the primary Physics teacher at the Army and Navy Academy for the past few years. I also teach the AP class. I am very familiar with the subject and where students have difficulty with it. I have been teaching Physics for the past 5 years and I truly love it. Before that, I tutored it for 4 years. In college I chose Physics as my major because I enjoyed it and it made sense to me. I decided to tutor it because I wanted others to see the same things. My goal, still, is to show my students that Physics is no [more]

I have taught physics during my graduate studies to summer courses I am a recently graduated chemical engineer looking for tutoring opportunities to maintain a strong engineering background in physics, math, and chemical engineering material. I have over 2 years experience tutoring high school students and have taught physics at UC Berkeley. As an engineer I have taken Calculus 1 through Calculus 3 as well as Differential Equations and Linear Algebra. I have taken all Chemical Engineering courses ranging from Heat and Mass Transfer to Separations, Thermod... [more]

I am a former high school IB physics teacher. I graduated with my degree in Physics from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where I then stayed for an additional year to get my teaching credential. I am currently a high school Physics teacher and absolutely love my job. What I enjoy most about my job is having the opportunity to help students realize their maximum potential in all aspects of life--academic or not. My goal for all students is improvement. I focus on the implementation and fostering of a growth mindset. By approaching all lesso... [more]

I am a seasoned teacher with over 25 years' classroom experience. I have taught mathematics, physics and chemistry at the high school level. My students have achieved academic success in all these subjects. I am a caring dedicated professional, who is truly concerned about the students progress in the specific subject material. I feel having a sound foundation in the basic concepts of the subject is the primary starting point when teaching. If a student falls behind in the beginning of a cour... [more]

Background: I graduated from UCSD with a Master's in Electrical Engineering. As a graduate student, I was a teaching assistant for undergraduate engineering and science classes. I have been tutoring part time for the past 3-4 years. I mainly tutor high school and undergraduate math and high school physics. Teaching/Tutoring Method: For the most part, I try to focus on helping the student understand the concepts. I have an excellent understanding of the subject and I can break it down to th... [more]

Hello I am Bill. Taught Mathematics and Physics for nine years and am credentialed in teaching Mathematics and Physics. Have a Bachelor of Science (BSEE) in Electrical Engineering from University of California Irvine, and Master of Arts (MaEd) in Secondary Education University of Phoenix. Tailor my tutoring to your student not like the teacher who is keeping control of thirty plus students in class. Can communicate with students either remedial or gifted. Your student needs to be confident in... [more]

I received my B.Sc in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. I tutored students for 5+ years in fields ranging from chemistry and physics to calculus and statistical mechanics. I am a UC Berkeley graduate with a B.Sc in Chemical Engineering (concentrated in Materials Science and Engineering) and a minor in Chemistry. I have been tutoring since I was a freshman in high school 8 years ago, and during my years as an undergraduate at Berkeley, I was given the opportunity to work as a university-employed tutor for the College of Engineering's Center for Access to Enginee [more]

I am passionate about teaching math and science to children & young adults. I was on the adjunct faculty at Purdue University, Northwestern University and Illinois Institute of Technology. I retired a few years ago as a scientist in a research lab and have tutored many students on a volunteer basis privately and for the City of Carlsbad. As an example, I tutored one 12-year-old recently in pre-algebra, and he moved up from a C+ grade to an A grade in just two months. I enjoy working with ... [more]

I got an A in the class when I took it, and chose to take the actual college course later because it is more comprehensive than the AP course. I've tutored the subject for several years. I've lived in the San Diego area since 2003. I started out as a student myself at Southwestern College. I majored in math, and while I was taking classes I made extra money working as an independent tutor for elementary and high school students. I found a job at a college bookstore, but I've continued to tutor math on the side. I like helping people to develop an interest in the subject themselves, so that it [more]

I am an Associate Professor of Physics having held that position while teaching students at Grand Valley State University. My career is chemistry and physics applications to research in environmental, material, and pharmaceutical science. I have performed research on electromagnetic systems in an industrial setting. I have a mastery of Physics at a graduate level where most of my study involved classical and quantum mechanics, eletromagnetic theory, thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, optics, special and general relativity, and the associated mathematics. I have been tutoring students lea [more]
