I have had a great deal of teaching experience while in college. I taught chemistry as a TA for five years, along with tutoring a few students. During my time as a TA I would frequently offer extra study sessions so my students could get help if they needed it. I am qualified as a physics tutor since I took three physics courses during college. My preference is teaching kinetics, momentum, and force and motion. I have previously helped a few friends pass physics as well. I look forward to helping you not only learn Math, Chemistry, and Physics, but appreciate these fascinating subjects! [more]

I graduated from Yale University in 2013 with a degree in chemistry and spent six months after that tutoring and running a small business consigning used textbooks. I then made a leap to the consulting world, implementing HR/payroll software for mid-sized companies and using the same analytical skills valuable for math and science before settling down in southeast Iowa. I now manage the HR system for a company here and am getting back into tutoring now that I have more free time. I have tuto... [more]

I'm a physics, mathematics, and computer science triple major, currently in my junior year at Coe College. I have a GPA of 3.940, and I tutor college math and physics students here at beginning and intermediate levels. I graduated Valedictorian from Wabasha-Kellogg High School, class of 2010. After my Freshman year at Coe, I took an internship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology through the Society of Physics, working in the semiconductor division in Gaithersburg, right o... I currently teach Advanced Placement Physics 1 and 2 in a Quad Cities Area high school. I have a B.A. in Physics from the University of Iowa, and I am working on a graduate degree in Science Education with a Physics Emphasis from the University of Northern Iowa. I worked with Tutor Iowa, the tutoring program at the University of Iowa, throughout my undergraduate degree helping students in their physics and astronomy courses. I have also tutored advanced and general physics high school st... [more]

I'm an Iowa native and a graduate of Northwestern University. There I studied chemical engineering and was a member of the baseball team. Having graduated as the valedictorian of my high school class, and then succeeded in both my rigorous coursework and NCAA Division 1 athletics, I understand the value of hard work and intrinsic motivation. That is one of the lessons I hope to communicate to my students through tutoring. As the son of two teachers, I have had an appreciation for learning ... [more]
