I am enthusiastic about tutoring math and physics, it's a joy to help students see the beauty of math and science. I have degrees in math and Physics from Southern Methodist Univeristy, a Masters in Physical Oceanography (think Physics of the Ocean) from UH and am in the process of earning my PhD. I've taught math and physics courses on the university and graduate levels as well as tutored students from elementary school all the way up to graduate school. I find working through problems ... Hello. I am a lifelong learner of math and science who likes to connect the dots, and I would like to share what I have learned. I have taught algebra and trigonometry in college. I have also tutored high school and college algebra, calculus, and everything in between for several years, plus linear algebra and differential equations. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a bachelor's in math and a minor in physics. I was not always interested in math, but I was always interested in science. ... [more]

I have taught Conceptual Physics, Physics, Honors Physics, and AP Physics B for more than 20 years. Hi! Thank you for clicking on me! As a "Pre-Med" student at UC Santa Cruz, I discovered that all sciences are founded in physics, and I have taught the "Big Three; Biology, Chemistry and Physics" from 8th grade science through AP and Freshman College-level courses. I just transferred out of Carlsbad after 13 years of teaching Biology and Physics (through AP B Physics) at Punahou Academy in Honolulu, Hawaii and have returned to my beloved aina, Oahu. I have been chosen as a "Teacher Fellow" ... [more]

I am one of the few people in the entire world to have scored an 800 on the SAT (revised standards). This unique differentiation has helped me to gain entrance to exceptionally selective schools like the U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Military Academy, and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. To be honest, my I.Q is average. However, I have made up for this deficiency over my entire life through very hard work, perseverance, and by focusing upon basic math and science i... [more]

I have a B.A. and M.A. in English literature. I've taught hig... [more]

I took a year of Physics in high school and two semesters in college, plus I had Physics in Nuclear Power School. I received an 'A' in all classes. I tutored both my children in Physics and they received an 'A' or 'B'. I also tutored a colleague during graduate school, and he received a 'B'. I have a good grasp of the logic of physics and how to use the formulas. I have taught at three Universities and at four High Schools, including Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses. I have extensive experience teaching in a classroom setting, small group, or one-on-one. My spec [more]

Hello, I am a mechanical and aerospace engineer that graduated from MIT (both undergraduate and master's degree). I have worked for SpaceX and Boeing, as well as being a Teaching Assistant while a graduate student at MIT. Our universe is beautifully constructed and ordered, and mathematics and science are the key to understanding its beauty. I love helping others see it the way I do! Having attended MIT for both undergraduate and graduate school, I know how to teach students to nav... [more]
