Engineering is a discipline of applied physics. As such, learning this discipline requires an engineer to know the fundamentals of physics, as well as how to apply them to the real world. With now over 5 years of learning this subject, I have learned of the best ways to teach the math and the theories that accompany it. I am a recent materials engineering graduate from Brown University. Having gone from a high school with limited resources in El Paso to an Ivy League University, I have seen the importance and impact of learning in social mobility, and I wish to help close that educational gap [more]

I am a firm believer in individualized learning styles, and the underlying premise that no subject is inherently difficult, so long as it is presented in a digestible way. This means recognizing and offering multiple approaches to problem-solving. I am deeply passionate about the process of learning, and find it extremely personally fulfilling to help others achieve confidence and awareness of their own academic potential. My name is Justin, and I am a recent graduate of New Mexico State Un... [more]

I have a bachelors degree in Physics. I also attended graduate school in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Arizona, for 4 years. Hi. I'm Dave. I'm recently retired from White Sands Missile Range where I served as a research physicist for 36 years. I've worked with over 70 co-authors on papers covering various aspects of atmospheric sciences and I am eager to share this knowledge with students in this area. My work has covered many aspects of mathematics, to include geometry, algebra (I and II), trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, Laplace/Legendre/Fourier functions, linear algebra, finite difference meth... In my over twenty years of teaching, I have found that all students can succeed if they believe they can succeed and if they want to. My role as a teacher is to "sell" this concept to my students, as members of a class and as individuals. I have been successful at this most important sales job. My experience includes teaching students in urban, suburban, magnet, private, and public schools; teaching AP level, honors level, college prep level, and conceptual level courses; and tea... [more]
