I have taught various levels of physics to public school students, private school students, homeschoolers and college students for 23 years. For ACT test prep, I've tutored students who have received scores in the 30+ range in math and science. My specialty, though, is advanced high school and introductory college physics (both algebra and calculus-based). I currently teach honors physics and AP Mechanics C to juniors and seniors in a large suburban high school district. I have also been overseeing the math development of my four home-schooled children from basic math through pre-calculus. A [more]

I have a bachelor's degree in physics from MIT, where I focused on computational physics, especially as applied to quantum field theory and lattice quantum chromodynamics. I've helped a number of people in high school and intro college level physics courses, and I can make sure you have the confidence to succeed in your physics classes. I have a lot of experience studying and teaching physics, math, and computer science. I have a physics degree from MIT, and I'm in my 4th year of my computer science PhD at the University of Illinois. I've taught summer courses to high school students about the [more]

I passed a three-course physics sequence at my previous institution and am currently taking special relativity at UIUC. I'm also minoring in physics. I have done some tutoring for both calculus-based and non-calculus-based physics. I'm Roger, a UIUC alumnus with bachelor's and master's degrees in mathematics. I have been a student and tutor of math since 2010, starting with tutoring in foundational studies, calculus and statistics and continuing through my years as a graduate student. I believe that the best way to learn is through example and practice, and I've been breaking down hard concep [more]

I'm a Ph.D. physicist at Fermi National Labs, working on the CMS experiment at CERN. I have degrees in physics and electrical engineering, as well as a minor in math. I've taught seven college physics classes, as well as a college calculus class. I've tutored math and physics on and off for the past 16 years, including college, SAT, high school, and middle school students. I like tutoring for the personal interaction and personal attention I can give each student. It lets me help the stude... [more]

I love teaching math and science, and I know how to make it fun and interesting. As a physicist I work everyday with math and science, and I have a long experience in teaching and tutoring at all levels (university, high school, middle and elementary school). My son (a 5th grader) scores above 99 percentile in all math tests, and you too can have high scores.... [more]

Hello everyone, I'm Quentin! I'm a native Frenchman who recently moved to Illinois to pursue a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering. Before that, I had completed a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Materials Science and Metallurgy, both in France. Needless to say, I am a scientist at heart; but I also am very interested in languages, and I love to share the lessons I have learned as a non-native English speaker. I believe that the mark of a good teacher is the abil... [more]

I currently teach Advanced Placement Physics 1 and 2 in a Quad Cities Area high school. I have a B.A. in Physics from the University of Iowa, and I am working on a graduate degree in Science Education with a Physics Emphasis from the University of Northern Iowa. I worked with Tutor Iowa, the tutoring program at the University of Iowa, throughout my undergraduate degree helping students in their physics and astronomy courses. I have also tutored advanced and general physics high school st... [more]

I have been a math (and occasionally physics) tutor for about five years to supplement my income. I mostly tutored adult students such as those who are looking for blitz help to pass entry exams for nursing schools or those who need skills refreshing to continue their on-hold education . I also tutored high school level and college level students. I am a very easy going witty type who enjoys teaching and helping my students succeed. ... [more]

I have a degree in physics. I am also working on my teaching certificate in which I have taken classes specifically designed on teaching physics. I have also tutored my friends in their physics classes, and have experience working with high schoolers and teaching physics lessons. I am a post-bachelor student at Northern Illinois University; I have a degree in physics and am currently working on my teaching certificate.
