Physics is my most popular science class to help with. I have tutored at almost every level, including undergraduate calculus-based classes. My focus is on helping students understand the importance of units. I have seen some students take literally a page to do a problem when they could have done it in one step if they had just stopped to see how the units must work out. Beyond the units, I also do what I can to explain the rationale behind the formulas to show how the various equations relate to each other, making them simpler to understand. [more]

General Physics can be though of as being divided into two parts. The first part covers statics, dynamics, newtons laws, fluid mechanics and waves. The second part of physics covers electricity, magnetism and optics. Having a strong background in trigonometry helps in physics. In my first meeting with a student i go over parts of trigonometry the student needs in order to be successful in physics. Hi my name is Shan, I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics, with a minor in chemistry and physics. I am a CRLA ( College Reading and Learning Association) certified tutor and held the position of he [more]

I have been tutoring for the last 12 years throughout middle school, high school, and college. I worked as a director of a program coordinating mentor and mentee pairing for Harvard Students and high school students in Boston. I ran this group for two years and we had over 25 different pairings in the program. I also mentored my mentee about school, life, and college applications. In addition, I was an English as a Second Language Consultant on campus, and I worked with graduate students on i... [more]

I got my bachelor's in mathematics and electrical engineering and computer science at MIT, and I stuck around for a master's in electrical engineering and computer science. I will start a PhD in applied math in France this fall. Studying at an institution whose motto is ?Mens et Manus? (mind and hand) has taught me that applying knowledge can deepen understanding. As a teaching assistant for the introductory electrical engineering and computer science sequence, I learned to ask questions t... [more]

Welcome! I currently work as a CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) Engineer at General Motors. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from the Schreyer Honors College at The Pennsylvania State University. I have a diverse cultural background, having grown up in both the U.S. and in India, for nearly equal portions of my life. When I was younger I never enjoyed studying, not many of us do at that age, and because of that lack of interest, I wasn't an especially good ... [more]

I have been teaching more than 5 years in different environments, ranging from middle to high school students. I have a Master's degree in Math and Science Education. As an international teacher, I am good at simplifying the content and make them easy to understand for the students. I believe the importance of conceptual understanding therefore instead of forcing students memorizing the formulas, I teach the content even before doing any calculation. I have a Master's degree in Math a... [more]

Welcome to my page! I tutor in mathematics, reading, mechanical engineering, and CAD software. These subjects can be challenging, however the right tutor can make all the difference. My tutoring style is patient and engaging. I am here to help you with your needs no matter what your level is! We won't move on to the next topic until you feel completely confident in the subject matter.
