Physics is the branch of science that is closest to math. It is the most conceptual, in which students have to rely less on memory and more on comprehension. With the use of appropriate and effective visualizations of the more abstract concepts, I boost my students? memory of the ideas and formulas that they need to solve problems. I provide simple and effective tools to improve recall of difficult equations even in stressful testing situations. I am an AZ certified teacher with over 15 years experience in the sciences. [more]

I have taught and tutored in many different subjects in various parts of the world. Having benefited from one-on-one and small group instructions myself, I know the value in meeting each student at their level and working with their strengths to generate a command of the subject matter. I don't believe that anyone is "bad" at math or "bad" at English. We all are capable of understanding anything with personalized, careful instruction. I have extensive experience as a TA, as a tutor in math a... [more]

I have a Bachelors of Science in physics from Arizona State University. I tutored physics 1 and 2 for a year at PVCC. I've also worked as a TA for university physics 1 and 2 lab courses at ASU. I graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Physics. I previously got my associates in science at PVCC where I took general chemistry, physics, and math up to differential equations. I worked for over a year tutoring general chemistry, first and second year physics, and math all the way up to calculus. I know how it is to struggle against difficult content and I was always grateful f [more]

I am a molecular cell biologist with a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Arizona State University. I have 18+ years teaching science to all ages including high school and adults at the college level. My graduate work focused on energy regulation in muscle of humans and I currently teach AP Biology at the high school level and introduction to biology for majors at the college level. I know I can help you reach your educational goals with my experience educating multiple types of stude... [more]

I have always enjoyed and excelled in math and physics. This was a major factor in my decision to study mechanical engineering at Arizona State University, where I graduated magna cum laude. During a portion of my time at ASU, I worked as a student tutor in the engineering tutoring center where I helped fellow students understand homework and test problems. In addition, I have tutored multiple high school students in math or physics on a private basis. I strive to not only explain concepts ... [more]

My tutoring experience first began in high school junior year. I would sometimes tutor my friends and classmates on concepts of algebra such as solving quadratic equations, adding and subtracting algebraic fractions, and graphing linear and quadratic equations. This early experience with tutoring teaches you that anyone can learn math, but you have to find a way to communicate with them and adapt to their learning approach. I also tutored my reading teacher's adopted son in intermediate alge... [more]

I earned a BS degree in Physics / Elect. Engin. at Univ. of Illinois and have taught these subjects at many of the local Phoenix area Colleges. I have tutored Physics and Math for over 15 years at the HS and College level. Hello to prospective students. Since Jr. High school the drive by natural curiosity to get to the fundamental core of how matter and living organisms are constructed propelled me into both the physical and life sciences. An interest in Math grew out of my underlying focus on physics. I have developed several isolated areas of expertise within these domains: Rectilinea [more]
