Dear parent, I have developed the right set of skills for training others. It started as a junior in high school, when I encountered some phenomenal teachers, and had the opportunity to mimic their practices when tutoring younger teammates and students. I was inspired by these great teachers. I continue to be motivated by the satisfaction of seeing students succeed. Over the last 7 years, I have tutored 3rd graders, college juniors, and levels in between. In high school, I tutored through t... [more]

I have been working as a substitute school employee for almost sixteen years. I enjoy working with youths of all ages. While I specialize in math and science, I am also a fairly accomplished writer. I have taught 1st grade math through 12th grade calculus, however I did not advance much beyond Calculus 2. I am fairly comfortable with single variable differentiation and integration, but my knowledge of multi-variable differential equations is limited. Typically when I teach and tutor... [more]

I am a Physics Tutor with an Engineering Background. I will use Mathematics; the language of Physics to breakdown all Physics principles. Try me, be impressed, and learn with fun too. I am an experienced lead teacher of Mathematics and Physics. I have a degree in Industrial Engineering, and a Masters degree with a GPA of 3.964. I also possess a state of Michigan Professional Teaching License which is current. My teaching emphasizes the three R's: Rigor, Relevance and Relationships. I am specially trained to prepare students for the ACT. Guaranteed enhanced scores. I am also proficient in the u [more]

I am a part time Adjunct Professor at a local community college with experience teaching Physics, Statics, Dynamics, AutoCAD, Solidworks, General Chemistry and Drafting. I have over 30 years experience in the mechanical and elector-mechanical Aerospace field. I am easy going and work well with presenting ideas in a different way to help students grasp difficult concepts. ... [more]

I'm Aseem and I graduated with a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. I am currently employed full time with a major US automobile manufacturer. Throughout school, college and graduate school I was fortunate enough to have great teachers who made often dreaded topics like mathematics and physics enjoyable and fun to learn. I tried to employ their methods and techniques while helping undergraduate freshman and sophomore students with their homework/qu... [more]

I currently hold a Bachelor's degree of Physics and have worked for years with a university tutoring center. I've been tutoring for about 3 years and love every moment of it. I worked for Sam Houston State University with their Supplemental Instruction program which aims to improve passing rates of certain classes by hosting group study sessions led by someone who has proven their aptitude for the subject. I've also worked in the Math Center for over 2 years helping students with all levels of math and physics. Where possible, I would offer private tutoring outside of the center to student [more]

My name is Phil and I am an experienced tutor with hundreds of hours of experience and training, in addition to a degree in biochemistry from the University of Michigan. I've worked with dozens of students and have consistently helped them to improve their test scores and grades. I help simplify the most challenging concepts while focusing on high yield concepts and test-taking strategies. I also assign homework, and provide materials as a part of my tutoring services. I taught Technical College Physics at Baker College. I taught Physics at Washtenaw Christian Academy where I brought in The Physics of Cell Phones and Project Lead the Way's Robotics and Engineering lab course. The highest level Physics course taken at Eastern Michigan University was Quantum Mechanics. I encourage the student to develop a good learning style, utilizing resources at hand, knowing their own strengths and weaknesses, doing self-assessment. I am a semi-retired math/science teacher that has taught at Jackson Community College, Baker College, and Washtenaw Christian Academy. I [more]

Physics is the basis of all engineering and is fundamental for solving problems. I often times had to go back to basic physics to explain engineering from small scale problems (nanomechanics) to large scale problem (tall buildings). I have used physics to explain how to setting up the problem, determining what is needed and how to solve it. My background is in mathematics and engineering and have taught at various levels ranging from high school to the university. I am an engineer, with degrees in Ocean Engineering (BS, MS), Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (MS), and Civil Engineering (PhD). [more]

My approach to tutoring is to first determine where weaknesses in understanding exist, then to find ways to strengthen the student in those areas. Learning styles vary among students, so whenever possible, I try to match my tutoring methods to each student's strongest learning style. For example, one student may learn best by rote memorization and repetition drills. Another may thrive with analogies and mnemonics. A third student may need derivations from first principles or real life applica... [more]
