I spent four years teaching middle school students, regularly helping them with Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 concepts. I currently teach high school mathematics. I have special education experience, which helps me to serve students at a wide range of ability levels in mathematics. I have always excelled in mathematics. I had good teachers in middle school and high school, and they laid a mathematics foundation that allowed me to score 780 on SAT Math and 790 on GRE Quantitative (maximum score was 800 when I took each test). I never lost points on geometry questions on either of those tests. Today [more]

I absolutely love tutoring Pre-algebra. It is a key stepping stone to all of high school math. Students can succeed in pre-algebra with proper tutoring even if they have had difficulties in the past.Their difficulties often can be resolved when they learn proper tools and strategies. Tutoring while guiding the student is my purpose. I believe that all students can learn and become high achievers if they are given the appropriate tools and strategies. I have an MBA from Ohio State University, a BA in Economics and a BBA in Management (from St. Mary's at Notre Dame). I have a minor in humani [more]

Hello, my name is Dr. Kelly, and I am well versed in mathematics, physics, and the medical sciences. I got my undergraduate degrees in physics and economics and my doctor of naturopathic medicine degree from SCNM. I currently teach anatomy and physiology. I believe that a good tutor gets to know their student and understands what THEIR problems are and attends to them instead of just trying to hammer all the concepts into their head. In my experience, even the most abstract mathematical or ... [more]

Math is my best subject. I've consistently scored highly in all my Math examinations, and teach Math at all levels from middle-school to undergraduate engineering. Teaching is my first love in life. I began my career as a Temporary Lecturer in my undergrad engineering college, teaching one of the most challenging of subjects: Electrical Materials Science. I then worked as a Visiting Faculty member at another such college between industrial jobs, and as an Instructor at LSU, teaching undergraduate students Numerical Methods and Turbo-PASCAL, while completing my Master's degree in Electrical Eng [more]

I tutored Pre-Algebra for a year and a half, I know how to explain it to people who have problems with math. I can make it fun for you, if you give me a chance. Hello, I realize that my profile has gotten very long. If you do not want to read all of it, there is a TL;DR (Too Long; Didn't Read) summary at the bottom of the page. Thank you! Sincerely, Katie D. - Dear future students, I'm a tutor, I'm a friend, I'm a cognitive psychology student; I like to work with people, and I do not believe that anyone should be without help if they need it, regardless of whether or not they can afford t [more]

We communicate to persuade, to resolve conflict, to debate, and to get to know one another ... [more]

I teach others, especially those who have, for whatever reason, obstacles in their learning. I teach teachers. I teach those who will, one day, be able to teach future generations. After fifteen years of educating in Special Education classrooms in California and Arizona, I redirected my energies primarily on tutoring individual students. When I can focus my full attention on a single student, I can identify needs and strategies faster, and address concerns as they arise. I work with par... [more]
