I was a high school precalculus teacher for several years. I am currently teaching a graduate-level course in econometrics, and have also taught a graduate-level course in statistics. Hi! I'm a former high school math teacher, and I tutor part time while I'm working towards a PhD in economics. My specialty is in economics and mathematics, and I can tutor in either field up to undergraduate-level courses (and some graduate-level courses, depending on the subject). I can also help with other high school-level courses. I'm happy to work with you whether you're struggling in your current class [more]

I taught an Algebra II/PreCalculus teacher for multiple years to 10th grade students. As such, I am very familiar with the material and can work with students to develop step-by-step strategies to approach problems with confidence. I have over ten years of experience tutoring various subjects from writing and elementary math to college level statistics. I started tutoring as a way to assist my friends and family members who were in need of help, and I ultimately followed my desire to teach and help others into a career in teaching. I am currently working as a teacher in a local private school. [more]

I work with creative gifted students and adults who want to accelerate their studies. My gifted youth program teaches students many subjects. In elementary math fundamentals we cover patterns and algorithms alongside fundamental studies. In algebra we use video games to build understanding and practical work to build confidence in the basics of abstract math. Geometry is used to understand proof work and to gain a better understanding of algebra skills through real world examples. Depending ... [more]

Precalculus is like the alphabet to me and I explain it very well. I tutor PreCalculus on a daily basis. Tutoring is my full time job. With well over 20 years of teaching/tutoring experience, I doubt there are many tutors as patient, talented or effective as I am. I bring a lot more to the table than what you see "on paper" and am constantly told by my students how well I explain things. Though other tutors may be cheaper, I am more efficient due to my experience and explanations. After 5 lessons, one of my SAT Math students improved her Math test score by 140 points last year! As a child growing up in Brazil, Graciele witnessed how her mother, a biology teacher, successfully helped many students. This inspired Graciele to live by her example from an early age. During college, she was selected to tutor her classmates in Calculus 1-3, Thermodynamics, and Analytical Chemistry. In 2007, she became a teacher at a renowned institute teaching math to classes as large as 120 students. She received her Bachelor of Engineering in 2011 and has since been working in the U.S. a... I took Precalculus in high school and received an A. I also took several Calculus courses in college. I have been tutoring students in Precalculus for over 15 years. I have a PhD in Chemistry and an Associate's degree in General Studies. I have tutored high school and college level students in chemistry, physics and math for the past 13 years with proven results. I also try to make learning fun and exciting whenever possible. In addition, it may di [more]

I did very well in my Precalculus class in high school, and went on to take AP Calculus BC, which I passed with a 5 on the AP Exam. Given how many components of precalculus are utilized in upper-level math courses, especially calculus, I am comfortable with tutoring the material. I graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2015. Hello! I graduated in May 2015 from Stetson University down in DeLand, FL with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Nonprofit Administration. I graduated in May 2017 with a Master of Public Policy from Duke [more]

My entire life I have enjoyed teaching and helping others. Throughout high school and college, friends came to me for help in all subject areas; my teachers even grouped me with struggling students so that I could help them through difficult concepts and class work. After high school I attended the University of Oregon for a B.A. in Economics, with a minor in Mathematics, and a GPA of 3.67. In tutoring, I first focus on understanding exactly what a student is having trouble with, then use a ... [more]
