I was a high school precalculus teacher for several years. I am currently teaching a graduate-level course in econometrics, and have also taught a graduate-level course in statistics. Hi! I'm a former high school math teacher, and I tutor part time while I'm working towards a PhD in economics. My specialty is in economics and mathematics, and I can tutor in either field up to undergraduate-level courses (and some graduate-level courses, depending on the subject). I can also help with other high school-level courses and with physics up to the undergrad level. I'm happy to work with you whet [more]

With a PhD in Econometrics, I have over 10 years experience as a tutor and college teacher. I have a Master's from York University and a degree in Computer Science from George Brown College. I can tutor any courses at any level related to math (such as calculus, algebra, geometry, econometrics, probability and statistics). I strive to vary my teaching style to meet the learning needs of individual students. I am patient, can explain the subject matter repeatedly, highly motivated, knowl... [more]

I taught an Algebra II/PreCalculus teacher for multiple years to 10th grade students. As such, I am very familiar with the material and can work with students to develop step-by-step strategies to approach problems with confidence. I have over ten years of experience tutoring various subjects from writing and elementary math to college level statistics. I started tutoring as a way to assist my friends and family members who were in need of help, and I ultimately followed my desire to teach and help others into a career in teaching. I am currently working as a teacher in a local private school. [more]

Precalculus is like the alphabet to me and I explain it very well. I tutor PreCalculus on a daily basis. Tutoring is my full time job. With well over 20 years of teaching/tutoring experience, I doubt there are many tutors as patient, talented or effective as I am. I bring a lot more to the table than what you see "on paper" and am constantly told by my students how well I explain things. Though other tutors may be cheaper, I am more efficient due to my experience and explanations. After 5 lessons, one of my SAT Math students improved her Math test score by 140 points last year! My name is Ian. I am originally from Buffalo, NY. I am a 27 year old recent graduate of George Washington University Law School. I graduated from Williams College with a BA in Economics in 2009. I also tutored high school students in the SAT during the summer in Buffalo. My approach to tutoring is that anyone can learn a concept or a f... [more]

I have been tutoring precalculus for two years. My degree is in physics, which includes a strong math background. My educational background is extensive. I attended the University of Delaware, where I earned three majors (physics, computer science, and cognitive science) and three minors (philosophy, mathematics, and political science). I later earned a law degree from the University of Virginia. In other words, I have spent far too many years of my life in school. In addition to school, I've worked in multiple fields, as a computer programmer and a First Amendment lawyer. But what days I en [more]

I took Precalculus in high school and received an A. I also took several Calculus courses in college. I have been tutoring students in Precalculus for over 15 years. I have a PhD in Chemistry and an Associate's degree in General Studies. I have tutored high school and college level students in chemistry, physics and math for the past 13 years with proven results. Many students have told me that I was able to explain a concept to their understanding much easier and quicker than their current teachers. I also try to make learning fun and exciting whenever possible. In addition, it may di [more]

I have been working professionally as a private tutor (through Wyzant) for five years now, teaching various technical subjects to both adults and children, including Precalculus. Moreover, for the past three years, I have been working for a small tech education company as their lead programmer and as a camp counselor where I teach game design, computer programming, web page design, math, and more to kids of all ages (elementary through high school). I came to tutoring as a second career after retiring from full time scientific work. I have always enjoyed tutoring ? especially at the high school level. I now devote more time and effort to it than was possible before retirement. I have hundreds of hours of experience with more than 50 students. I have worked with four Fairfax County Public Schools science teachers and have picked up many of their teaching techniques. I am familiar with many of the student oriented educational sites ...
