Precalculus can be a very daunting subject for both high school and college students but it can be managed well by strengthening algebra and trigonometry basics. I have taken precalculus at both the high school and college level and moved on to get A's in both calculus 1 & 2. I ease students into understanding how functions work both algebraically and graphically. This makes working more advanced problems much more manageable. Hello! I work with many college level students at my full time job on precalculus who did not understand it in high school. I show them how to convert between degrees and radians, how to find various trig and inverse trig functions and how to relate their studies to the real world. I have loved math all my life and I took lots of it in school. I even attended math contests and I learned much more math in Electrical Engineering. Now I enjoy the opportunity to help others with their math and electronics. I have been tutoring for more than ten years and I really enjoy helping the students. I work w [more]

I have taught Precalculus and evaluated teachers that have taught Precalculus. Reading and decoding Precalculus is key to understanding it. During tutoring, I model the skill and explain the why behind the how I did the work. I then have the students complete similar problems and explain their strategy to the solution. I have been in education for 16 years. During this time, I have learned that all students learn in a different way. When I work with students, I keep this in mind so that I can model the math in a way that students can connect with based on student observations. I also believe t [more]
