Hi, my name is Stephen F. I am a teacher at Hillsborough County. I am currently certified to teach 6-12 Math. I have background knowledge on all things algebra, fractions, graphing, and some springboard knowledge. I'm a volunteer for the Big Brother, Big Sister program for the past three years. On my downtime I like being out on and in the water - kayaking, paddle boarding or just being on the beach. I've taught students who struggled in Algebra. It's really not that difficult, it may be c... [more]

I have been tutoring Precalculus with much success for years. I have three BAs and have taken through Calculus 2 engineering with an A. The school year is beginning. Rather than wait and get into difficulty with a subject, why not consider a tutor to help smooth out the anxious moments. It is preferable to deal with these issues before the grades reflect problems. Or if you are studying for the SAT or ACT or PERT , I have had great success with helping students marvelously improve their point score. Why not consider a tutor? Whether you take online classes , home-school or are struggl [more]

Pre-Calculus is a subject that I tutor often at Hillsborough Community College. As a math major it is a subject that I must have in the back of my pocket; I feel very confident in tutoring this subject. I began college as a tuba/jazz performance major and at some point realized that music was not the path for me. While taking my general education requirements, I came to find that I enjoy the thrill of math and science. I still work as a musician but appreciate music more because of my math skills. I am currently an undergraduate at the University of South Florida studying physics and mathe [more]

I have 15 years tutoring experience, especially math through calc 2. I recently relocated from the northeast to Wesley Chapel, FL in order to be closer to family and be as far away from those cold snowy winters as possible. For the better part of 10 years I played professional poker, which requires a high level of intelligence, keen observation and adaptability, and a strong foundation in mathematics. On top of that, I started a private SAT prep business with a former English Professor in Philadelphia in 2004. He took care of the English, I took care of t... [more]

I tutor pre-calculus subjects for students who are currently taking a pre-calculus class. I use the student's own textbook and augment the sessions with work from my own college textbooks. Many topics can be taught in different ways. I will find one that works for the student. I am a public speaker and love to zap anyone with the "I can do it" attitude about life long learning. B.S. in Mathematics -- MATH and reading are my passions! Prior tutoring successes have included algebra 1 tutoring of a flunking student who not only passed that course, but became an engineer because he found he l [more]
