I have other thirty-five years of teaching/tutoring experience beginning in 1977 as the manager/tutor of the Stanford Tutoring Service in Palo Alto, California. There are few things more gratifying to me than the look of satisfaction in the eyes of a student for whom the math mystery has been revealed! I have over 70 hours on Wyzant and each new student, each new challenge, brings me tremendous satisfaction! I am passionate about learning and about sharing that passion with students.... [more]

Hi, I?m Andrew! I received a Bachelor's degree and graduated with distinction from the University of Colorado Boulder. I was a double major in Biochemistry and Integrative Physiology and completed a certificate in public health. For me, the most rewarding feeling in school was finally understanding a difficult topic. Once a subject ?clicked,? everything before then made sense, and everything after came much easier. Sometimes these ?clicking moments? came naturally and early in a course, but o... [more]

Most high school students study Precalculus. It is also one of the most subjects I have been tutoring. Every concept of Precalculus is specific. I will focus on different ways for each concept. I usually don't use exactly the same tutoring way for each student during each session. My strength is helping students to understand what, how and why the equation should be. Hello students and parents, I am a math tutor. I have over five years of experience tutoring at the junior high school, high school and college levels. Pre-Calculus is by far my favorite subject to teach. One of the main reasons is because it has a reputation for being difficult -- but it can be made so simple! It's a great feeling to be able to make Pre-Calculus easy for students when they were feeling like it was the most difficult subject they've ever experienced. My ACT/SAT students have earned over $1,000,000 in scholarships and they consistently score 26-36 (ACT), 1200+ (SAT) & improve 2 letter grades in class. My 2016-2017 students earned ACT scores from 24 to 34 (these students earned a 34, 33, 33, 33, 30, 29, 29, 28, 27, 26, 26, 26, [more]

I completed my Master's Degree in Applied physics and have taught all levels of calculus including Trig/Precalc, Calculus I, II, III and Differential Equations. I have also taught AP calculus and am very familiar with the test. I taught a student the entire AP calculus AB curriculum (without him being in the class) and he received a 5 on the AP test. I can teach ALL major concepts in all of these classes and help students apply them in effective ways! I look forward to working with you. Teaching is what I do! I have TAed multiple classes and taught dozens of students piano and STEM topics. I t [more]

I have a Bachelors in Physics with a minor in Mathematics. Precalculus is one of the fundamentals fields of mathematics that I know very well and have a solid foundation of. The ideas of Precalculus begin in introductory physics courses and continue when the student is preparing to take calculus. I have 4+ years tutoring physics and calculus and inevitably Precalculus was a subject that regularly needed reinforcing or reviewing because students often forgot those ideas and that would make physics and calculus harder unless it was reviewed.
