I just finished my fourth year at McGill University where I am majoring in Electrical Engineering. Throughout my time in high school and college, I tutored my classmates through their math classes. I have also tutored many of my friends' younger siblings to help prepare them for their final exams. Math concepts make sense to me and as a result, I can always explain the problems to students in a simple way that makes sense to them. I love seeing a concept click with another person since it me... [more]

My name is Steven, and since graduating from college I have enjoyed working in various student programs both in local schools and in my own church student department. Because I was raised in a bilingual household, I am able to teach and explain the Spanish language in a natural, easy-to-understand manner. In high school and college, I excelled in both math and science classes. During my college career, I completed several advanced mathematics classes up to Calculus 3. As a successful high ... [more]

My name is Jeffrey K., and I have a passion for tutoring. I first started when I was in high school, where, as a member of National Honor Society, I was required to tutor at least 20 minutes a week. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up spending all of my non-classroom time in the tutoring facility, where I worked with three students for a total of 5-6 hours a week. I love tutoring because of the confidence it builds - as I began working with my first student in geometry, she understood not... [more]

I have a BS in Mathematics and over 13 years of experience teaching precalculus and calculus. I've been a math teacher and tutor for more than 14 years now! I enjoy tutoring better than teaching, and here is why; I have a strong belief that everyone can learn Math once they are met EXACTLY where they are, and only the one-on-one tutoring process allows me to define my student exact need and then to create the perfect experience for them to learn. My experience is mostly with High School and Middle School students but I'm also passionate about working with younger students! I hold a B... [more]

I thoroughly enjoy working with students - it's especially heart-warming to help a student who is struggling and perhaps discouraged - to watch them light up as they understand their work, regain their skills, and once again look forward to going to class! I'm a patient, friendly, and very effective tutor for science and math students in grades 7-12, with skills and instincts honed over many years of teaching and tutoring - and so I sincerely look forward to helping you and your child.
